Bad Price Quality Ratio. Smell Issues and No Hot Water.

We stayed 3 nights there, my wife and 2 kids. Plus points : Good breakfast and interesting geographical situation in Paris. Problems : we suffered Odors issues during the whole stay. It smelled like sewers in the room, coming from the vents. An issue that the hotel personnel was not able to tackle. And on the last day, we did not have hot water because the hotel heater was broken. The hotel infrastructures are fragile and are not at the level of a 4 star hotel and the prices that go along(we paid ~250€ a night) I don' recommend this place. //////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// Nous avons résidé 3 nuits. Points positifs : bon petit dejeuner et localisation geographique. Points negatifs : nous avons subi des odeurs d'égouts provenant des bouches d'aération de la chambre pendant toute la durée du séjour, problème que le personnel n'a pas été en mesure de traiter correctement. Et le dernier jour il n'y avait pas d'eau chaude. Les infrastructures de l'hotel ne sont pas au niveau des prix pratiqués. Je ne recommande pas cet établissement; -------------------------------

Staff were not very friendly or accommodating. It was hard to get their attention if you wanted anything, even if there were several staff behind the reception counter, and if there was a queue or receptionist was busy they would not come out of the office to help. On checking in for our 3 night stay we were informed you had to pay 20 euro if you wanted your room cleaned at any stage. I thought this was something that is standard and should be included. Breakfast was supposed to be until 10.30, but on 2 mornings arriving just after 10 we were told eggs were finished and to try again tomorrow! No sausages either after 10am. We had a studio apartment for 2, but the bed was a pull out bed which was not mentioned on the booking. The only good thing really was the location, 2 minute walk to the metro so that was great.

A Home Away From Home in Paris

The Aparthotel Adagio Paris Nation was the perfect place to stay for my wife and I. We were joined by my son, his wife and our two grandchildren. We rented a studio with kitchenette and my son and his family had a one bedroom apartment with kitchenette. Both were spacious enough and had enough features for a longer stay (7 nights) in Paris including free Wi-Fi that worked well (we’ve stayed in hotels before with spotty WiFi). Literally, our home away from home. By the way, we are not Paris neophytes. This was our eighth or ninth visit to Paris. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The kitchenette contained all of the items needed for a longer visit to Paris including a refrigerator, dishwasher, stove and microwave. There is a laundry on the main level. Both of our rooms included sitting areas so our entire crew felt we had the space to spread out and relax. On the main floor there was a breakfast room plus (surprise) a children’s play area with games and a Foosball table that hosted the grandkids vs. grandpa tournament. Prior to our trip I had explored numerous other lodging options but chose the Adagio. All choices were similarly priced (hey, it’s Paris). However, we’re glad we chose the Adagio Aparthotel Paris Nation for these additional reasons. First, the staff gets high marks. All of the staff were very helpful, personable and seemed genuinely concerned about our comfort. They all spoke some English (a concern for some Americans) and most spoke quite a bit of English. My recommendation to fellow travelers is don’t be shy about asking for suggestions from locals like the hotel staff. A little local knowledge goes a long way. Of note, Frédérique, who worked the Reception Desk, was outstanding in her helpfulness to our family. She made numerous suggestions for sightseeing, places to eat, etc. which were spot on. Her English was excellent plus she speaks several other languages. Second, the Adagio is perfectly situated in our opinion. It’s only a 4 minute walk from the hotel to the Daumesnil Metro station, providing easy access to the rest of Paris. There are numerous restaurants and cafés within a 5-9 minute walk of the hotel. The entrance to the Promenade Plantée is less than 120 yards (2 minute walk) from the Adagio. The Promenade Plantée (aka Coulée Vert René-Dumont) is a viaduct that has been converted to an elevated park-like walkway and is a hidden gem and a joy to stroll. By the way, all of the locals we encountered including the restaurant staff and people in the local supermarket were welcoming, friendly, helpful and proud of their neighborhood (and rightly so). Finally, we know many visitors like to be situated in central Paris close to all of the usual attractions and tourist sites. The Adagio is located near Place Felix Éboué in a quiet (compared to a more central location), charming neighborhood. We love it, consider it our neighborhood in Paris and would definitely stay at the Adagio again.

We stayed here during RWC. Excellent location to the metro, located in a quiet area. We were very satisfied with the apartment/hotel. Very clean, spacious, well equipped, had everything you may need. Would stay here again when we visit Paris.

Reception was helpful and friendly, room was clean and quite big. It had everything you may need, there were plenty kitchen supplies, so we were able to make breakfast without any problem. Coffee machine at the downstairs was available all the time for free, which was a big plus. The area, where hotel is located, is nice as well and is not so far from the center. Overall we were really satisfied about our stay in this hotel. Definitely recommend and if we ever come again to Paris - then for sure will stay in this hotel!
