Had a lovely stay at the Mercure. Bed was comfy and room clean. Ate at the restaurant and was pleasantly surprised, best whitebait I've had in this country for years. Special thanks to Kim b and Evie for their great service and friendly manner

There was a great variety on the menu and the food was delicious and well cooked. The service was great and the staff were very attentive. Dominika was a fabulous host and nothing was too much trouble. Her colleagues Scarlett and Alex were also so polite and friendly.

If you like sleeping in a cave, this hotel is for you! No heating, so bring a warm coat! Lighting in room pathetic, so bring a few torches. Bed like concrete. Bedside lamp broken, mirror light in bathroom not working! Staff are really practiced at saying sorry, but can’t do anything! My advice… go elsewhere!

I was providing dinner theatre entertainment for a coach company there and The staff went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed to do a good job. Communicative, supportive and thoughtful. I’d definitely be happy to be booked there again. Thanks to Kim Peach

In the past few years we have used the Mercure Daventry for several functions and stayed overnight. All of these functions we dealt with Ian Mills who was excellent. More recently, we started to drop in for a drink & occasionally food. During one visit Ian recognised us and stopped for a chat, now on subsequent visits, if around, he still does, a nice welcome. During these visits a similar rapport has developed with other staff members, Kim Peach will often stop and ask how we are etc before going about her duties and Dominika, when on duty, always greets with a smile & a "how are you?" This acknowledgement makes us feel welcome and valued as a customer-thank you. On a recent visit I was served by the F&B Manager (Andy??). He was pleasant & welcoming and on our next visit joined our "welcoming club" by acknowledging us and enquiring how we were as he passed through the bar area. its this sort of treatment that makes you want to return again, sadly an attitude that is becoming rare in the hospitality trade today-keep up the good work.
