We stayed at the hotel as visiting a wedding venue nearby - the location was great. A bit confused when we arrived at the car park as it showed we needed to pay, however, when checking in, we were told this was not the case. The reception staff were very polite, friendly and informative and the lady serving at the bar was lovely. Our room was ok, a bit run down, but fine for a nights stay and had everything we needed. I thought the breakfast was a little expensive at £10pp, but there was plenty of choice and it was good quality (when are they going to invent better toasters for hotels??). Unfortunately what has left a sour taste is that I am still waiting for my security deposit to be returned - some 4 days later. Upon enquiring, I was told "Visa can take longer" - but no indication how long.... Other than that, would recommend as good value for money (just want my security deposit back!).

We stayed here for the night as we were heading to silverstone the next day which is only a 30 minute drive away. The hotel is nice and everything was clean. Check in was rather slow and there was an issue with the computer, which happened after we’d paid, yet the receptionists seemed to expect us to stand there and wait while 3 of them looked at the computer for approximately 5 minutes. Why they needed us to stand there and wait was beyond us as they’d had everything they needed from us and once the computer issue was sorted, all they did was tell us what time breakfast was served and where our room was located and where the swimming pool was. So why they couldn’t have told us that before hand and sorted out the computer issue afterwards, was a little strange and wasn’t a great start. There is a large car park at the hotel which the signs state that you need to pay, however upon checkin we were told to enter our registration plate number which would mean we didn’t have to pay. The swimming pool facilities are ok, but the pool is a little on the small side. We were greeted by the person sat at the desk by the swimming pool, but weren’t given any information on where the changing rooms were located until we asked. It was at this point we noticed there was a signing un sheet to the swimming pool, that we had to ask if we needed to fill in, We had dinner in the bar area which was ok. Again, the service in the bar area was very slow and the staff didn’t serve people in order. Other who’d appeared at the bar after us, were served before us, which again was a little frustrating. The food was nice and we did then go and sit outside for a few drinks. Breakfast was good and pretty standard buffet, cooked breakfast and cereals etc. Overall, we had a fairly pleasant stay but the service offered by the staff could do with being improved.

We arrived on a Saturday and we’re due to attend a wedding so we’re in a rush to check in. Now, you’d think this would be manned given that it was midday (peak time for check outs) but it wasn’t. We had to wait 5 mins before anyone came out. We anticipated that we may not be able to check in early which was fine and we were told we could check in a 3pm. The key issue was that receptions should be manned at all times and it wasn’t. Now you’d think perhaps it was peak time and the hotel was busy which was why no one was around to assist us when we arrived. Sadly this was to be a respect performance, staring the very unhelp staff at the hotel Following our return from the wedding (7pm) we proceeded to collect our room key and would you believe it. No one was around to allow us to check in. I asked the bar staff if they could help get someone - their reply “sorry I don’t know where they are, you’ll have to wait” We finally got to check in following another long wait. When we got to the room - I will say that the room was clean. Although very worn down (leaky shower, chipped bath tub and tiles, chipped/damaged cabinets) We were very disappointed with the facilities (not that the staff sign posted any of these) The pool was a bit run down and bust will local patrons. Overall the hotel Felt tired, and it was like staff had given up on even trying to care. There were empty glasses all over the hotel (corridors, lobby, the entrance and the cigarette bibs looked like they hadn’t been emptied for a month) The facilities in the room where also not what you’d expect from a 4 ⭐️ hotel. No free Wi-Fi, no air con, no mini bar of fridge to chill drinks, no extractor fan, no complimentary toiletries and vet hard spring mattress. After our night here we were very keen to check out. And as you might have guessed. There was a queue of people and NO ONE AT THE DESK. Safe to say we’d rather visit a premier in. Next time as in our experience the staff and facilities actually meet expectations. Massive waste of money.

The rooms were a nice size in general, just the bathroom was a bit tight, especially for my other half as he is a big build. As well as the rooms could do with a bit of updating and a hot water sign would be beneficial for the bathroom as the water came out really hot. The toilet wouldn't flush normally, so we had to take the lid off to flush. The breakfast was a good selection, but unfortunately there was a problem with the toaster not working properly,which obviously could not be helped.

Be careful they don’t sting you with a parking fine! NEVER will I stay or recommend this place. Appauling.

I stayed at this hotel for one night for a wedding on 16/07/22. Upon checking in, I wasn’t advised to input my vehicle registration into any computer at reception. Few weeks later received £100 ticket
