Overall fast friendly service, room was standard had everything you need, spa was okay, food standards wasn’t great breakfast in bed wasn’t worth the money for the quality of food and restaurant experience in there was shocking, waited nearly 2 hours for food while people who had been sat down 20 mins already had their starters and then our food come out wrong, our waiters James & Lydia made things less frustrating for us and were nothing but apologetic and sorted everything for us while the man who seemed to be running things was stomping around banging on furniture not professional at all. Give the other 2 credit for how well they handled the situation and they are the reason I’ve give it 5 star they were spot on

We stayed at the Mercure Haydock for a family wedding. The hotel its self is in a great location and the facilities are excellent. Drinks and food were top notch in my opinion I would really recommend. I would like to say a big thank you to Sarah who catered for our all our needs and couldn't of asked for anymore from her 👍

Such a shame about this hotel. Positives. Such a grand setting, lovely gardens and the beer garden is lovely. The staff are friendly and approachable and the inside of the hotel is quite nice however requires a bit of TLC. The room I stayed in is generous with a very powerful shower and hot water in abundance however, sone may need to be very careful as it may be deemed as a safety hazard (I personally loved it) The WIFI is adequate and overall comfortable stay. Negatives. This reflects the overall score. The breakfast was terrible for 16.50. On reflection, don't bother and source elsewhere. It's £10 to use the pool and this facility. I can't get my head around this although I know others do it. The pool area was empty so why put a charge in? The hotel is difficult to navigate to. Not the hotels fault but it isn't close to amenities that people often want. You are sort of tied to the hotel although taxis are good and prompt. The walls to the rooms appear to be in some sort of repair stage. Will be nicer when done. Overall, this hotel could be very good but let down with the little things.

Was voor zaken in dit hotel en wat mij dadelijk opviel was dat dit een Heel fijn Hotel is en een zeer vriendelijke en professionele ontvangst heeft en dit vooral van Michelle aan de receptie. Ze was zeer behulpzaam en helpt je dadelijk indien er een probleem is.

Hotel bueno , Tiene desayuno buffet y cenas sin problemas. Resaltar que una de las compañeras del viaje es vegetariana y no tuvo dificultad en su alimentación .Es muy recomendable y descanso asegurado. Atención exquisita. Se encuentra alejado del centro ; nosotros íbamos en bus concertado.
