Dear gralice01, Thank you for sharing your feedback regarding your recent stay. We sincerely apologise for any confusion regarding our pet policy. Unfortunately with third party sites there is a limit to what we are able to display which is why we send out the pet policy before arrival so there are no surprises. While we understand your concerns about the restrictions in certain areas of the hotel as we only have one bar and restaurant we have to strike a balance to ensure the comfort and safety of all guests, including those who may have allergies or other concerns. As you mention we are more than happy to serve breakfast in your room or for that matter dinner from the MPW restaurant should you wish. As the weather improves we also have a few outside tables where dogs are more than welcome. Sincerely, Damian Kaye General Manager

Providing a warm and friendly check-in experience is important to us, and we will address this with our team to ensure that all guests receive the warm welcome they deserve. We understand your disappointment with the restaurant being full, it looks like you probably stayed on the 14th which was Valentines as this was the only night we were fully booked this week. We appreciate both positive and negative comments as they help us identify areas where we can improve. We are glad to hear that you enjoyed the room upgrade but are sorry if it wasn't communicated that this was in recognition of your ALL reward status. It was great to see that you found the bed comfortable and appreciated good-sized walk-in shower. It is also great to know that you found the Bella behind the bar to be friendly and provided very good service. We apologise for any inconveniences you experienced during your stay. We understand your frustration regarding the lack of information provided upon check-in, we are a predominantly business hotel with regular guests so I'm sorry that the team didn't recognise you as a first time visitor and ensure the went through things such as where breakfast was served, please rest assured that I have discussed this with the Reception Manager so he can feedback to the team the importance of dealing with each guests as an individual rather than just robotically check them in. I'm sorry that you had issues during your dinner and found breakfast to be below standard I will be discussing this with the Head Chef and Restaurant Manager when they are in later this week as the early bird menu should be treated the same as the "normal" menu and the breakfast chef should be monitoring the buffet throughout service to ensure the quality is maintained. At Mercure Bridgwater Hotel, we strive to provide our guests with a pleasant and comfortable experience. We appreciate your feedback, and we will use it to enhance our services.
