We had dinner at Mercure restaurant EDGE last night. What a disappointment We had a mixed dip shared entree bread over baked and hard the three dips were OK. The mains another story altogether we waited 50mins for our food and it was very disappointing my husband had the lamb rack which wasn’t a lamb rack but 2 tiny lamb cutlets that were COLD and covered in inedible green minty substance served with pomme potatoes and nothing else@ $46 and I had the Barramundi served with 2 prawns,sautéed tomatoes and pomme. Potatoes The flavour were good but the Barramundi was dry and overcooked not moist and flavoursome and the skin which is supposed to be crispy was hard as a rock and not pleasant at all. OVERALL NOT AS GOOD AS THE LOCAL PUB AND A LOT DEARER. Would I recommend the Mercure Goulburn EDGE restaurant definitely NOT

Seamless check-in and parking directly outside room (which was lucky since it was a very cold rainy day!) Spacious modern room with comfortable bed. Room was very clean. I ordered room service from the motel restaurant which was delivered promptly. I also had the continental breakfast in the morning which was very nice. Staff and check-in were very efficient and friendly. No complaints whatsoever, hope to stay again on the next trip.

Arrived to find our 1st night had been cancelled supposedly through an app glitch. They found us a room but things just got worse. Walked into room to the stench of sewerage coming from bathroom. Tried turning on tv but it wasn't tuned into channels. Reception came to fix tv but couldn't but did put chemicals down drains in bathroom. Another employee came to try fixing tv. He left to get a different remote but never returned. First person returned & sorted out tv but we had to use 2 different remotes for changing channels & another for volume. The first morning I was in bed while husband was out & a male cleaner walked straight in even though the do not disturb sign was out. I yelled get out & he didn't even apologies. Called Reception to complain & they said they'd look into it. They called back to say it was their fault as the system had us checking out. They apologised & offered complimentary room service breakfast for the next morning. Breakfast arrived on time but was absolutely appalling & inedible. We are paid Discovery Gold Members & expect better service. Didn't even receive our amenities pack. Guests are expected to do the dishes but no tea towels supplied. Would never stay or recommend the hotel.

We enjoyed our stay here. No nasty surprises. Spacious rooms at a motor inn style accommodation. Bathrooms and rooms refreshed and very comfortable.

Thank you for a lovely stay. A big shout out to the professional young women who checked us in on Sunday night 13th July. Faced with 4 deep queue for a good 10 minutes she stayed the course and treated everyone with respect. Well done Sophie. She even took time to pour us a drink.
