We have been as good as robbed by Ibis Styles Leeds Hotel

On booking this hotel through booking.com my wife had technical difficulties and did not believe the Hotel had been booked My wife received no confirmation email or infact any mails at all from Ibysmal Hotel so still believed the booking had not been made and subsequently booked another Hotel. Then low and behold out of the blue my wife is then charged a cancellation fee for not staying at the Hotel (yes the same Hotel she didn’t know she had booked and had received zero correspondence from). On contacting Booking.com we have now been told the Hotel will not waiver the cancellation fee. I have gone back to Booking.com, to approach Ibysmal Hotels once more ,obviously they have not considered that they have not followed processes in informing us of our booking and therefore to continue to rob us and charge a cancellation fee is ludicrous and disgusting particularly with the cost of living crisis we are all facing. I trust someone senior from the Ibysmal Hotel group will see this and apply some common sense and take the necessary action asap to refund us for a booking we did not even know had been made! Should a satisfactory result not be achieved here or through my follow up mail I will have no option but to further escalate this issue for appropriate resolution

Since your reservation was made through Booking.com, all correspondence, including confirmation emails, would have come from them, not directly from us. Unfortunately, if you didn't receive any emails from Booking.com, that’s something we can't control or correct on our end. As for the cancellation fee, the policies set by Booking.com govern those charges, and we're obligated to adhere to those terms. If they contacted us on your behalf, it's important to note that we reviewed the situation based on the information available to us and found no reason to waive the fee. However, I can see how this might feel "ludicrous and disgusting" from your perspective. I encourage you to continue your discussions with Booking.com, as they're best equipped to assist with any technical issues or email mishaps that might have occurred during your booking process. Ibis Style Leeds Centre Arena is amazing, I double checked they remembered the room needed to be an accessible room the night before we arrived and they said they had already assigned an accessible room for me but when we got here they said they had no accessible rooms left for that night but they moved us to an accessible room the next day, that shows they really take care of their guests if they can! They allowed us to do video reviews of the hotel for our charity which is called Jade’s Foundation UK!

A nice clean hotel in a pretty good location for the bars and restaurants. The staff were friendly and helpful, and it was nice to get two room keys for a change. Breakfast was good. Not a massive selection of hot food but the basics were all there. 1200 hrs checkout was handy too.

Stayed for 2 nights for Leeds Uni Graduation. Great location, room clean, but not especially big. Comfy bed. Staff ok but not overly friendly. Mediocre room the money. Guess ure paying for the city centre location!

Hotel nuevo y buen ubicado. La persona que nos recibió al hacer el check in no fue de gran ayuda, nos dio un papel con las instrucciones y adiós . El segundo día la hora del desayuno fue un auténtico caos.
