Stayed here for 3 nights on a city sightseeing trip. Uber from airport cost £13.00. Room was not ready on arrival but we left bags and went out for food. Check in on return was quick. Room spacious and clean. Tea/coffee provided but had to ask for refills as only had 2 X Milk. Beds were comfortable. Bathroom was a good size with bath/shower and toiletries provided including shampoo and conditioner. Large safe available to use. The only negative was the temperature of the room, it was far too hot and the air con did not work, we had to sleep with the window open. We did not eat at the hotel as there are plenty of places locally to eat. We had trips booked with Get your guide and a walking tour, both of which started just 5 mins walk from the hotel. Overall a good hotel for a short stay.

Great staff, amazing welcome and good food. Breakfast is very delicious and with a lot of options. Clean and comfortable rooms. Great value for money. I recommend this hotel.

I would rate my experience as completely negative. I booked one hotel room for my sister and me for just one night. We chose this hotel because I believed that an international hotel should offer good service, comfort, and, in this case, a very good location. When we arrived, we were informed that the hotel was overbooked, even though I had completed the online check-in. The two receptionists were very arrogant and showed no concern for the difficult situation they put us in, without providing any proper explanation. They were extremely unprofessional and unprepared (nepregătiți). They could have simply acknowledged that it was their mistake or that there was an issue with the reservation system, which is unacceptable for a Mercure hotel. We were relocated to another hotel that was farther from the location we wanted to stay in. I would never make a reservation here again, and I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. People who are so unfriendly, unprepared, and unprofessional should not be working in the tourism industry.

This hotel (or at least its checkin procedures and staff) is a disgrace. First of all, the checkin process does not start until 3PM - this means that if there are 20 people waiting to checkin, until the clock hits 3PM NO ONE (certainly NOT the receptionist) does any formalities beforehand. He just sits there, looking at the walls until that moment, when of course a RyanAir-style boarding scrum forms and he slowly starts typing in the details, giving priority NOT to Accor elite members according to the rules, but to groups of 10 people "because they were there first". This means that in reality, you're not getting into any room until well after the advertised checkin time. The attitude was also of someone who had never worked in a customer service position in their life - no smile, no helpfulness, just someone who we would all be better off if they were replaced by an electronic kiosk. BTW, we had actually already checked in with the Accor app beforehand, so according to advertised procedures, all he really had to do was hand us a keycard, but this was beyond his willingness to perform his job. The day was today, October 4 2025 at 3-4PM in the afternoon, so if anyone at Accor management can check the duty logs, you will no doubt find an individual who should look into another line of work. I am never staying in an Accor hotel again, I don't even care if this is a new group procedure or just someone not doing even the minimal aspects of their job.

Unfortunately, as this was a specific room category that could not be substituted earlier, it was not possible to provide it before the official check-in time. That said, I completely understand how the situation and communication around it may have been disappointing. Please be assured that we do check-in upon arrival in 100% of the cases, given that the rooms are cleaned and inspected. Your comments have been shared with the team, and we will use this feedback to reinforce both our service standards and the way we communicate with our guests, especially during busy check-in times. Our team is dedicated to providing warm, efficient, and professional service to every guest, and I am extremely sorry that we did not convey that commitment clearly during your visit. The hotel has a perfect central location, making it easy to explore Bucharest on foot. A special thank you to Mr. Popescu at reception, who went out of his way to fix a booking issue with the wrong dates quickly and kindly. Also, Ana Voicu from reservations was very helpful and responsive. Their professionalism really made the difference. Highly recommended for both location and great staff support!
