Stayed for 7 nights for the second time in 2 years, I must say they could've warned us about the renovations happening, although we weren't disturbed by any noise. No discount offered either for that fact. I also got charged for parking when I had no car, but this was a confusion between myself and a collegues room, and was quickly resolved by staff and refunded. That said, apart from that a smashing stay again, and I have to give a shout out to Helen on reception and Tracey in the restaurant, they are so helpful and will go out of their way to help you, I would also like to thank Paulina for quickly resolving my small financial issue. All in all a good hotel to stay at, although it is becoming an AC Marriott now, and apperently becoming 4 star, I do hope this doesn't mean jacked up prices as we use this hotel every year, and hope to again next Janaury.

Stayed 2 nights at this hotel - first time. It was a pleasant room with comfy bed, nice spacious shower. We went to resorts world on a couple of occasions and it was about a 15 minute walk away through the NEC so quite handy for that. A bit of work going on throughout the hotel in terms of refurbishment of public areas. We recently stayed at a styles hotel in Amsterdam that we were not very impressed with but this was much better much more modern.

Basic, But Fine For One Night

We’d previously stayed at the nearby Novotel after a late flight home a few years ago and the experience had not been good so we were a little apprehensive about staying in the Ibis at Birmingham Airport. Our flight had a late arrival time but check in at the hotel was quick. The room itself was small but functional. It’s not somewhere we would have liked to stay for more than one night but it was perfectly adequate for an overnight stay with sufficient space to take out the few belongings we needed for the night. The shower room was also well designed, it was small but adequate. We booked the breakfast for the next morning and there was plenty of choice with good quality ingredients. We were impressed that the bacon and sausages were much better than the usual basic meats served up in some other chain hotels.

We stayed for just one night before a very early flight. Convenient tho this hotel is, for £260 a night, it left a lot to be desired. One tiny check in desk meant a huge queue of people having to wait be seen. Our key card did not work and we had to return to the queue to have it replaced. One bath towel , no hand towel and one bedside lamp did not work within our room. The bed was incredibly noisy - turning over gave loud squeaks making sleep difficult. We recently stayed in the Tower Hill Citizen M hotel which, at virtually half this price was amazing in every detail. Captive airport audience means that Inis think that no care needs to be taken and it shows

On the day of your arrival we were moving the reception desk across to the other side of the foyer as part of our refurbishment of all bedrooms and ground floor. Convenient to the airport

I stayed here for one night in December 2025. I was driving from up north (Yorkshire) and the hotel was easy to get to as it is just off the main motorway. It is located right across the road from the airport. I wasn't staying here because of the airport but because of a commitment in the general area. However, I took the opportunity to walk across the road to the airport, which was relatively easy (about ten minutes) and could probably be done if wheeling a suitcase. Note that the other Ibis and Novotel hotels are located within a stone's throw of the terminal building, but they have no hotel carpark (although you can park in one of the airport carpark buildings). The room was as one would expect, although it would have been better if it had had a safe. The restaurant was quite large and had a good, varied dinner menu. The breakfast had the usual hot and cold items - nothing flash, but good enough. I was told that this hotel is going to be converted to a Marriott, possibly in March 2026.
