Since our last stay we noticed the introduction of $20 parking fees and elevated cost structures. Staff engagement was variable but competent. Overall an OK experience with satisfactory food choices and room comfort, although weak room lighting made reading a strain.

Perfect for long weekend escape

Perfect location for weekend getaway. Checked in to a spacious Executive King Room on 2nd floor. Comfy bed and great hot shower with fluffy towels and robes. Love the bulk Lux Soaps and Moisturisers. Friendly staff snd easy paid allocated parking in basement. Mini fridge, pod coffee machine and kettle as standard. Perfect location for easy walk to Coastal Walkway, shops, cafes and groceries. Short drive to parks or Egmont National Park Haven’t tried my Welcome drink yet as Bar is only open in afternoon to evenings but will try the NZ wine before I leave. Even in room overlooking front of hotel, no traffic noise!! Will stay again.

Very nice hotel in the city. Big room ( superior ) Tidy, friendly staff. Nice couch beside our bed with USB charging in it. The location is perfect. They have free parking. You must stay here when you are visiting New Plymouth. Highly recommended.
