Good hotel for the money.

We stayed one night here on our way to Penang, the hotel is located on top of a shopping mall and has it's own parking section in the garage (Level 6). Check in was smooth and our room was ready early which was great. Room itself was fine lovely big bed and a extra chair, the view was over the back of the hotel and the shopping mall so not much to see. We did use the gym in the evening which was adequate, there wasn't a lot of equipment and the equipment there wasn't great but there were a lot of machines for cardio exercise. Breakfast in the morning was okay, despite having items on our table our table was taken by someone which was annoying but we were moved once staff realised.

Liegt sehr zentral, hat allen Komfort und ein sehr, sehr gutes Frühstück. Eine Mall ist im selben Gebäude und es gibt in der Umgebung viele Restaurants. Das Personal ist sehr professionell und freundlich. Vielen Dank auch an den netten Mann direkt am Eingang, der sich um unsere Koffer und Fahrräder gekümmert hat. Schön, wenn man direkt am Eingang so nett empfangen wird.

Serial repeat guest at Novotel Taiping and why wouldn't I be? :) :) This hotel is just the best and second to none in town. Central location, free parking (on Level 6; make sure you park within the designated area), walking distance to Lake Gardens, eating places (high-end and hawker fare) and countless other plus'. Taiping Mall which is adjacent also provides shopping opportunities if you're looking for a little retail therapy. Swimming pool and well-equipped gym round off the facilities provided at this property. My room this time on the 13th floor (highest) boasted all-round views of the hills and town centre, was well appointed and had all that was required (hot "rain" shower, in-wall charging, pay-tv access Netflix etc) including coffee machine! Had the opportunity (and privilege) to bump into James Chan the General Manager who was all about service and had a good chat; delightfully down-to-earth and welcoming. Other notable staff were the ever familiar Siras who is always on hand to greet me when I (re)visit and the F/O ladies (all familiar faces) - which makes me feel like "coming home". That is true nature of hospitality. Keep up the good work, Novotel Taiping team!

Das Novotel liegt an bester Lage im Herzen von Taiping. Viele Orte sind zu Fuss erreichbar. Es hat auch viele Restaurants und Geschäfte, sogar eine Shopping Mall, in unmittelbarer Nähe. Ich habe das Grand Deluxe Zimmer gebucht und es war herrlich. Im obersten Stockwerk gelegen, hatten wir eine tolle Aussicht auf die Umgebung. Das Zimmer war sehr geräumig, sauber und schön eingerichtet. Auch eine Kaffeemaschine war vorhanden. Das Personal war äusserst freundlich und hilfsbereit! Danke nochmals für den guten Service! Auch das Frühstücksbuffet war reichlich und sehr gut. Geschätzt haben wir auch die kostenlose Parkmöglichkeit. Alles in allem ein tolles Erlebnis. Ich kann dieses Hotel bestens weiterempfehlen!

Cet hotel se trouve en plein centre-ville de Taiping et se trouve être le seul bâtiment de cette hauteur. C'est d'ailleurs le seul bâtiment qui soit aussi haut là-bas. Directement situé au-dessus d'un centre commercial, cet hotel moderne possède son parking au 6e étage, il faut donc bien garder son ticket pour pouvoir ressortir (il est gratuit pour les clients). La chambre est grande et spacieuse avec un grand lit king size, nous avons bien dormi. Située au 13e étage, notre chambre donnait sur le parc et la ville et une grande baie vitrée nous permettait donc de dominer toute la ville (même si nous avions demandé une vue sur le parc et les montagnes). Il y a une salle de sport et une piscine (ouverte de 7h à 19h) et tout le confort digne d'un novotel. Le petit-déjeuner, sous forme de buffet, est très copieux et bien fourni. On y trouve de tout et des spécialités malaisiennes. Le personnel est sympathique et accueillant. Rapport qualité prix excellent, nous avons payé aux alentour de 65 € la nuit pour une chambre supérieure avec petit-déjeuner.
