Great hotel in the centre of town.

Stayed here for a couple of nights. Great location, walkable to everywhere in town. Very comfortable bed. Pillows very good. Had a great night's sleep. Wifi was ok. Staff very good. Doorman explained the parking as soon as we got there. Front Desk staff validated the parking tickets for us each day. Always service with a smile. Didn't get to try the restaurants or bar. Pool looked good but didn't get in. Shower is excellent. I'd stay here again.

Security SOP Needs Review & Flimsy Amenities

Our group of 13 stayed for 2 nights under a booking made by me. However, on check-in, the hotel does not require any of the other 12 guests to provide their NRIC/passport to register their identity. Not even 1 representative per room. I find this very unusual and I believe it is a security breach. If there's an emergency, the hotel has no record of its guests. I also had the unpleasant experience of being charged RM30 for accidentally breaking the handle of the coffee mug provided in the room. I accidentally knocked the handle against the sink while washing it. The hotel should review the quality of the amenities provided. I have travelled extensively for the last 35 years and never had this happen to me before.

I will certainly check on this matter and I will tighten up the standard operating procedures. Worst hotel in taiping.

I booked 2 room (11/4-12/4) and this the services and attitude given by the staff. 1) The front receptionist staff services and attitude is so bad and un professional. 2) When asked for additional towel, the receptionist send me one dirty towel with foot stains on it. When informed then not even apologised for it. 3) When asked for additional bottle they said not only one bottle allow, need wait until finish the 2 bottle given only then allow to give additional. 4) The room card was blocked 10min before enter to the room, worst not even informed during the checkin time. Even a 2 star hotel also asked during checkin when would like to checked out. When asked for explanation the receptionist n the Asst Manger “Ms Aida” showed me an angry face and not even to plan to explain, she just stand beside the counter and shown the angry to customer. I guess this is the service level training given by the Novotel higher level management “show an angry face to their customer”. 5) When asked for the duty manager the receptionist just revert not in on leave. 6) The lift services, from 3 lift down to 2 lift during peak session. This hotel is the worst hotel I ever stayed.

Cet hotel se trouve en plein centre-ville de Taiping et se trouve être le seul bâtiment de cette hauteur. C'est d'ailleurs le seul bâtiment qui soit aussi haut là-bas. Directement situé au-dessus d'un centre commercial, cet hotel moderne possède son parking au 6e étage, il faut donc bien garder son ticket pour pouvoir ressortir (il est gratuit pour les clients). La chambre est grande et spacieuse avec un grand lit king size, nous avons bien dormi. Située au 13e étage, notre chambre donnait sur le parc et la ville et une grande baie vitrée nous permettait donc de dominer toute la ville (même si nous avions demandé une vue sur le parc et les montagnes). Il y a une salle de sport et une piscine (ouverte de 7h à 19h) et tout le confort digne d'un novotel. Le petit-déjeuner, sous forme de buffet, est très copieux et bien fourni. On y trouve de tout et des spécialités malaisiennes. Le personnel est sympathique et accueillant. Rapport qualité prix excellent, nous avons payé aux alentour de 65 € la nuit pour une chambre supérieure avec petit-déjeuner.

Hotel moderno y bastante céntrico. El servicio es muy servicial y atento, dispuesto a ayudar en todo momento. Las habitaciones son amplias y limpias con un gran ventanal con vistas. El desayuno ofrece una gran variedad, aunque quizás un poco reducida la oferta de bolleria .
