What a shame, worst stay in the whole of our visit travelling in Vietnam. Everything seemed too much trouble, particularly when we tried to exchange $100 in to VND around 7pm. We were told the6 didn’t have any money and there would not be any until the following morning. We managed to get $50 exchanged after demanding to speak to a manager and she advised there would be more money available at 10am the following day; no surprises 10am the following day no money and told to go to the bank. Aside from the above we were unable to find anything for breakfast as very poor selection and the dining was very dark and depressing. Even worse was the noise we had to endure in our room both nights from the roof top bar. Very little sleep and despite letter advising of noise and that ear protectors were provided we could not locate. We were on floor 18. Wherever you went in the hotel you were subjected to music. If you want to relax and chill out after a busy day we would not recommend staying at this hotel.

Really enjoyed my stay at this beautiful hotel in Saigon. My suite on the 19th floor was spotless with expansive views of the city The breakfast buffet was amazing And staff were very attentive, helpful and friendly. Really enjoyed being attended to by and talking to Ms Hien in the 22nd floor lounge Will be staying here again next time I’m in saigon

We stayed 5 nights in the Grand deluxe room and perhaps our only criticism about this hotel is the room is small, or at least smaller than the pictures present. Despite the small room we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the hotel because of the following: - location is great and within 10 to 20 min walking distance to all the main attractions in district 1. - staff members always ready to assist promptly - food in the executive lounge is different everyday and of good quality - We liked that the bfast in the executive lounge I s a La Carte as opposed to buffet style - the spread in the executive lounge is generous and tasty from bfast tonafternoon tea to evening canapés - beautifully decorated hotel including our room But I like to make a special mention of one particular staff member in the executive lounge who assisted us throughout our stay. There are those who provide a good service because it is their job and there are those who do it genuinely as it brings them joy to see their customers happy. Hoang Hao was one special young man who we looked forward to assisting us daily and made our stay a particularly memorable one. He remembers our preferences, and without fail ensures we receive our preferences as soon as we stepped into the executive lounge. Upon realising my wife is vegan he then goes out of length to arrange for special meal for her. Similarly when my wife mentioned about certain fruits she missed eating, he arranged it specially for her. We will definitely stay here again when we return thanks to Hoang Hao!

We booked a meal (birthday) at the Albion restaurant. We’re keen to try as we had read good reviews. They rang to check our booking earlier, even said a birthday cake would arrive. - nice touch. On arrival at the Albion they had omitted to mention they had a concurrent function booked. Tables in the restaurant had been cleared, lots of young blokes and others standing around clutching beers talking loudly. Not a nice atmosphere at all - especially for a special occasion. We would not have booked had we known, and it was not mentioned by the Albion at any stage up to arrival. We left and went elsewhere.

I think my expectations were a little high for this hotel. Whilst check in was professional it lacked any kind of warmth, and that goes for the days that I stayed here. It seemed that whenever I asked a question it was met with an annoying look, rather than a friendly answer. The buffet breakfast was just OK, I read the other reviews and people raved about it but honestly I have had better. Although the coffee was sensational. The food just didn’t taste fresh and most of the hot items were cold. 2 PowerPoints in my room didn’t work, which was annoying as one of them (the only one) in the bathroom wasn’t working. Two of my pillowcases had holes in them. The happy hour cocktails on the roof top were ok, but very limited selections if you don’t particularly like gin. The bathroom set up is just not ideal, especially if there are 2 people in the room. I want a little more than a flimsy curtain separating the room and the bathroom. To be honest I’m not sure it’s a true 5 star hotel, it was a little underwhelming.
