It is a pleasant hotel not too far from Calais, Stayed in 2024 on way back from Nice and staying again this year - good stop on way to Calais. Stayed here many years ago. Very pleasant staff and quiet. hopefully will not get locked out this time when we wert to a local restaurant.

A convenient location for the Eurostar Calais. Other than that ..... hmmmm !! I had been looking forward to staying here so that I could see the difference between an IBIS Budget and an IBIS Styles. And to my disappointment, I didn't really see one. The room was similar size, the bed had the same degree of comfort, the shower was adequate. Yes the TV was slightly better and the table/chair was 1 notch above ... but really, is that all. The outside space was basic, with a lot of back ground noise; but tidy and litter free. We had purchased breakfast although it started at 06:00 and we needed to be on the road by 06:05 so the manager allowed us to take our own buffet. Stewed apples were very good and the good assortment of breads. Would I stop here again ? Probably but I would also compare alternatives in this area.

Stayed for 4 nights on a Leger battlefield tour. Room was small no kettle or safe. Tiny wardrobe that used to have a door but now doesn't. Small bathroom that stank of urine and stale water. Hairdryer worked ok but the incorporated shaver socket didn't. Shower was powerful. There are 2 lamps that hang from the ceiling each side of the bed and I kept banging my head on mine which is a poor design in my book. Restaurant was for breakfast only no dinner service and bar service was quite erratic. We had to show one person how to pour a beer properly! The hotel is a little way out of town but it is on a large leisure/shopping complex and there are plenty of bars & Restaurants quite close. I guess it is ideal for a one night stopover.

We had been here at least twice before and had no problems. This time sadly it was very disappointing. On arrival the window was open in the room so of course being January it was very cold. We closed the window and stayed in bed until we could go out to eat. On return, the room was no warmer, and nothing we did would make the heating come on. There was an electric heater in the room and at first it did not seem to work either - we discovered in the morning, the thermostat had been turned to min. not max. We had tried phoning reception, she said something about adjusting from their end but I guess that was just to get us to leave her alone. In addition to the lack of heating the window even when closed, had cold air coming in around it (not very green!). No wonder the noise of kids revving motorbikes outside seemed so loud when we were trying to have an early night. I could also feel the draught in bed and had to sleep with clothing wrapped around my head. At breakfast when we went around 7.30 there were no spoons - not even teaspoons - and my husband was trying to eat stewed apple and yoghurt with a fork. Just as we were leaving they were putting them out. Please management, fix the window and heating in room 106! Even for an Ibis Budget this wouldn't have been good at all.

Value hotel, saved by a great receptionist working her socks off, but failed by the lies about air conditioning. The latter, not working for a year according to reviews, so I rang ahead to check as the description says it has and has read others' comments... and they lied. Awful, sweaty night, little sleep. Tantalising little green light on the box, but not working and controls were useless. Whole room is basic...minimalist isn't necessarily stylish! And at breakfast (open plan, cleaning staff arriving at 0900) while we chose our buffet food, using tongs for the pastries and other items, should a cleaner really just walk up, grab two croissants with her hand, and walk away stuffing one into her mouth? Only gets three stars as the receptionist /bar lady / sorting laundry / doing admin on arrival was kind and helpful, and working so hard. Otherwise two stars...and avoid.
