A new Novotel propriety in Curitiba, just on the border between Downtown and Batel (although its name cites Batel, its location is already a Downtown one, but Batel is only a 5-10 walk away). Spacious rooms and a nice breakfast, albeit being the on-house restaurant a Peruvian one, its limits somehow its lunch and dinner menu to fish-based plates, which can be bothersome if you don't enjoy such cuisine or is not willing to have a ceviche as room service when arriving on odd hours like 10-11 PM..... The only real downside is a odd electrical installation on the room, where just one switch next to the door turns on and off all electricity on the room, forcing you to walk in the dark all room until you can find such switch....a bit unsafe to guests with limited mobility or elderly ones. No issue with cleaning or noise and overall atmosphere is of a standard Novotel propriety.

This modern hotel offers a good balance of comfort and convenience, with its stylish design and well-maintained amenities. It's a solid choice for both business and leisure travelers, thanks to its central location and variety of on-site facilities. However, while I enjoyed my time here, the stay felt a bit bland due to the lack of character and charm as the hotel seemed to be more catered towards Business travellers than leisure. LOCATION:The location of Novotel Curitiba Batel is one of its standout features. Situated in the Batel neighborhood, it's ideal for those who want to be close to high-end shopping, restaurants, and cafes. It's also a short drive from the downtown area and major attractions like the Oscar Niemeyer Museum and the Botanical Garden. For those looking to explore the city, the location offers plenty of convenience. DINE + DRINK: Didnt have a chance to try their food, so cannot comment. But they are renowned for their Peruvian restaurant that is supposed to offer the best ceviche in town! ROOM: We stayed in Room 560, which was a SUPERIOR KING room, so this review is based on that; SIZE: Spacious enough for 2 adults and simple baggage; VIEW:Random view of nearby buildings ; AIR-CON: Perfectly functioning cooler that helped in setting the perfect room temperature; BED: Comfortable bed that played the expected part of putting us to sleep; BATHROOM:Good sized bathroom with a Stand-in shower; TOILETRIES: Good spa quality toiletries FACILITIES: Compact Gym with a basic range of weights and Cardio machines, Ok for a basic workout. No Swimming pool on site. SERVICE: Friendly staff that cared for all our needs with a smile and made us feel pampered and well taken care of. Special Shout-out to HOW WIRED YOU WILL BE: Free Wi-Fi that works well all over the property, and the speed is good! Big Smart TV dishing out a wide variety of channels spanning sports, news, music, movies, and entertainment in multiple languages

Decent hotel with great location. Shopping malls and Hardrock cafe is walking distance from this hotel. Some of the staff speaks English as well while most it’s Portuguese only. Breakfast is limited and repeated everyday, it could use some upgrade. Free drinking water is not provided like most of the hotels in Curitiba and translator app is a must for non native visitors
