The reception staff were extremely arrogant, unfriendly, and with high attitude. They feign complete ignorance of your presence even when you are standing there. In particular the ladies there who are rude, in acknowledging the presence, responding, or even properly attending phone calls when you call them from the room. TERRIBLE

Sofitel Team is one of the Best taking care of Customers and good listening: had an issue on checkin not taking in consideration my loyalty status because of large event organized in The hotel, but they listened and took action in less than an hour. The stay then went smooth for the week stay with care and excellent service. Thanks again Sofitel Abidjan Team Will be back very soon Merci 🙏🏽

Enjoyable stay with professional staff always keen to help. Hotel is very clean and room service is impeccable. However rooms may need to be refreshed in order to be kept up to date. I will most certainly choose the sofitel for my stay in Abidjan

This is over all a very fine hotel! Elegantly appointed with comfortable rooms with nice amenities, and the best bed I have ever slept on. There are good restaurants and attentive, friendly staff, there's even a movie theater. However, the only reason I did not rate it a five is that once you step off the elevators onto the floors above the musty smell of moldy carpeting hits you like a wall. Whoever thought wall to wall carpeting in such a hot and humid city was a good idea? Lose that and stick with the nice tile/marble/etc. surfaces as in your lovely lobby and this hotel get 5 stars! I'd easily recommend this place to anyone except those sensitive to damp musty carpets.

I was not impressed with the length of time it took to check me in. Even though I checked in online. What's the point of checking in on line. The Duty manager was borderline rude. I will not be staying at Sofitel Abidjan again!

Great stay, great team, only to name a few: Cathérine from breakfast team, and the always best omelette from Béatrice. Despite the very high room price that time, at least for my accompanying clients, the visit was excellent.

Nice hotel comfortable bed. Convenient location to conduct business in Abidjan. Overalll positive. Internet usually decent but a little walk this time around. Accor is a gray chain. Don’t forget to sign up to their loyalty program!

I have just came back from my trip and stay at the Sofitel Abidjan during last week as per below booking, there are some issues that i would have to report as a customer complaint: According to the reservation below, the payment is confirmed as paid status and it shows that the balance to be paid at the hotel is ZERO, but what we have been serviced at the hotel when we did check out, the person in charge has told us the payment is not been done yet which is ok but i would have to ask for their other reference from Accor that the payment is not done yet??? as the only reference document is the below email to confirm and be referenced between myself and the hotel regarding the payment, if the payment is not done yet, there was supposed to be at least another email from Accor to confirm to the customer that the payment is not done. also, when we did check in, the reception had confirmed that the payment has been done, we only need to be deposited for the expenses while we stay which is no problem as regular requirement. again, once we were checking out, the manager name ' Anne', had totally bad performed, as she has provided the blind information and seems not to responsible for the situation, she does not care for the confirmation email and only admit to deduct our payment from the credit card gaurantee. it seems not to be her problem, that was what she said. anyway, we agreed to pay only after i can receive the email from Accor mention for the mistake their have done on the confirmation email below, i actually expect the prior notice regarding this payment from Accor central department not just one person who were at the reception to against the below email message. Do you agree with this??? eventually the payment has been deducted from my card without any notice!!!!!!!!! what the bad action from the unprofessional 5 stars hotel!!!!!! 2. after i checked the payment with my bank, i found that the payment has been charged converted to our THB currency with 5% over charge, even though i agree that the rate may be applied in different rate but it supposes not to be this high 5% different which is unacceptable comparing to the attached file which i received the estimate payment amount earlier. The total price shows as attached is THB 81,526.61 but the actual charged is THB 85,219.84, what is this???? At least i need the correct clarification. there are few more complaint during our stay which i already informed to

1餐厅服务很不好,15号早上我是9:48进入餐厅,有三个服务员同时告诉我早餐时间已经结束,可是我却看到继续有人不断进入餐厅,在我继续站着等待的时候,一位手里端着盘子的服务人员过来告诉我他们餐厅没有结束,我可以尽情享受早餐!试想如果不是这位热心的大姐,我的早餐是不是就化作泡影了! 2,15日晚餐,17日的午餐都是不愉快的经历,坐下来没人招呼,想点酒水没人理,点了又长时间没有上桌。 本来是要投诉经理,但是由于本人法语不好,交流起来不顺畅,所以只能忍气吞声!

I visited Abidjan on the aftermath of the Gran Bassam attack of 13 March 2016. As a Platinum member of Accor, having check-in online, I just showed my loyalty card and I was handed the key room immediately, without further credit card/document verification. On departure I was given a generous late check-out time. The hotel location, not in the city centre, made me feel safe. Of course one needs car/taxi to go anywhere. The interiors of the hotel was spotless and the staff courteous.
