Ground floor suit next to pool all day youths jumping in shouting girls screaming relentless all day. Notices clearly say no jumping and consider other people these ferule teenagers didn’t seem to be able to read and without any parental guidance The suit was very good but not luxury beds comfortable kitchen good leaking shower door The futon had clearly been wet cleaned and stayed that way For an apartment that supposed to be cleaned before arrival the quality of cleanliness was poor The general areas were unkempt and the security gates removed your knuckles when opening We have waited all year for this holiday with our son and partner to be spoiled by simple things

Disgruntled Receptionist?

We stayed at the SEBEL Hotel in Noosa for two nights this month. We arrived a little bit before the official check -in time and left our luggage at the reception and went out to have lunch. We came back more than one hour AFTER the official check-in time and got our keys. When I asked whether our luggage has been brought to our room I was met with an unbelieving stare and told “NO”. I simple “explained” that these are standard operating procedures at reputable hotels and walked away from the unsmiling receptionist. Luckily our luggage turned up soon. On the last day we asked whether we could extend our stay by another night. We were informed, yes this will be possible, but the price went up by approximately 50%. All this conversations happened with the same unsmiling face and behaviour as before. The behaviour of the receptionist was cold, impersonal and as if we were just an inconvenience. She behaved like a disgruntled employee. To be fair: there was another receptionist from France who was helpful and respectful. We certainly will NEVER stay again at Sebel Noosa. Yes, we are members of Accor Life.

Being met with a cold or dismissive attitude is unacceptable, and I regret that this left you feeling like an inconvenience rather than a valued guest. Regarding your luggage, while storage prior to check-in is standard, delivery to room is not as we do not have a concierge service. However, we are more than happy to help upon request! I am sorry that this was not communicated to you correctly. Equally, I am sorry that the discussion around extending your stay was not handled with warmth, professionalism, and empathy, regardless of rate availability or pricing constraints. I do appreciate you acknowledging the positive service provided by another member of our reception team, and I will be sure to share your comments with him. At the same time, I am addressing your feedback internally with our leadership team to ensure further coaching and training takes place, as this experience falls well short of our expectations. It is truly regrettable to read that your stay has led you to decide not to return. Noisy, no sleep.

We booked a 2 bedroom with river views. The apartment was spacious however so noisy. We went for 3 nights and got no sleep. What was meant to relaxing was the opposite. The road is so noisy, you can’t sit on the balcony or keep the door open. Every morning at 6am the rubbish truck would come and collect the industrial bins below the room. All night the main bedroom air conditioning unit would rattle the whole room. It was awful! Make sure you don’t get room 332 or rooms that back into the road near the river. We paid a lot for such a poor experience.

Very noisy!

The apartment was nice and the location was great but our whole holiday was ruined by the noise from the kids in the pool. There were screaming kids and toddlers in the pool all day long. We were unable to relax by the pool or relax on our balcony which overlooked the pool. Don’t come here unless you want to be in a crèche environment.

A Disappointing Experience

Having stayed in this hotel 6/7 years ago my wife and I were looking to staying again. I requested a room towards the front of the hotel this time and upon arrival we were given just that , room 123 facing Hastings Street. The unit was very tired and in need of an upgrade. We were unable to open the ranch-slider to the little deck area without filling the unit with cooking smells obviously emanating from Bang Bang and Aromas kitchens, not very pleasant to say the least. The bathroom similarly had the cooking smells and the one window had a faulty catch and was slightly ajar and couldn’t be securely closed to avoid the smells. The coir type mat in the lounge area in front of the TV had a nasty prominent brown stain on it which also a turn off. We stayed 7 nights and not once was our room serviced despite our booking confirmation stating that “rooms are non-serviced unless staying 4 nights or more”. There was one TV control which had Netflix and YouTube but neither was available . The tap over the sink in the kitchenette was loose , again showing a lack of attention or room care. The hotel is in a great spot and we love Noosa but all in all our room/unit was very disappointing and we would not recommend or stay there again.
