Booked this in advance on Booking.com, arrived, typed in my reservation reference several times using four different Visa/Mastercard cards. None were accepted by the little machine by the door. Tried calling for assistance, 'number not recognised'. Gave up, cancelled the booking (luckily for no charge), went back to Booking.com and found another place nearby. No problems there, although I sweated a little as I waited for the card machine to accept payment! 25/02/2023.

Super price for 4 person in a family room of 4 including breakfast. Breakfast is very good value & taste good. Lots of parking space in front of the hotel, pretty empty the 2 nights we stayed. Very clean & comfortable as in most of other Ibis Budget hotels. It's spacious for 4 person, only a negative point is, there's not wall for the bathroom, only a separator in front of the shower cabinet. Missing some important personal space / privacy here. Otherwise I recommend this hotel

It does not promiss more than you pay for and that is what you get . Very basic but clean. Good beds and good wifi. Rest is very basic. If possible dont go for the rooms with even numbers because they are situated at the front of the building. At 05.30 they empty with a lot of noise the garbage bins. There was also a party going on in the centre of the city but the music luckylymstopped at midnight,12 o’clock. Opening your windowroom is not a thing I would advise. The breakfast is also very basic but enough. The coffee is good .

I booked the ibis budget a couple weeks before as was doing a mountain bike race in nearby Raon. We arrived around 11.45 pm to find the system after hours is to use a machine to check in. The machine did not work with any of our credit cards, we tried 5 separate credit cards from Belgium and the uk none of which were accepted. We noticed that there was a standard ibis across the river so drove there to see if we could speak to a manger or someone who could help. There was only one staff member who was obviously new and had insufficient training to deal with any situations out of the ordinary and so was completely unhelpful, and told is that this ibis was full. We went back to budget ibis and noticed there was a helpline number. We called this which connected us back to the same unhelpful chap at the desk of the standard ibis. He said he'd try to call his manger and call us back but quite clearly never did. Eventually we went back to the main Ibis and insisted that he helped us as I'd already paid the fee, it was nearly 1am and the chances of finding anywhere else at that time of night with a big event on were extremely slim. Eventually he miraculously found a free room there which was actually very nice. This experience is completely unacceptable for several reasons. Firstly what kind of hotel doesn't accept foreign credit cards? Secondly why isn't there a back up system should the machine go down. Luckily we got sorted but this could have very easily left us with no where to sleep. Thirdly why is there no training given to the night staff to deal with a situation like this and why was there no one on call who could help? Fourthly I've complained on the ibis website and they couldn't even be bothered to reply to me. To be fair,the lady on the desk at the ibis budget the next day was very nice and helpful and apologetic and offered a free breakfast but I'm still extremely angry that this situation arose in the first place and Ibis need to sort out their customer service as I would only use them as a last resort again. It's not the individual staff members fault but a fault of a large company who do not care what service they offer.

it could be cleaner. Our room 303 was not cold but not warm enough.heating system has problem clearly and strange part is that at the reception, she does not know how it works. Actually she seems to be confused. We were a group and asked possibly for rooms in the same floor, she said rooms are full but it came out that it is not. So dusty in some parts of the rooms. We couldn't close the wc door and it has problem. Not noisy at all though. PARKING free in front of the hotel if lucky to have as it is not for the hotel. For the price you might say, you can't expect that much but it can be managed muuuuch better while it definitely has managing difficulties.
