At reception we were told that we could take luggage trolley to our room. This was not the case as our room only accessible via stairs. This was very frustrating for elderly guests. Not enough parking. Stayed 2 nights. Couldn't get any channels on TV. No cold water in fridge. Room wasn't serviced second day. Meals and beverages - expensive. Bed was comfortable. Air conditioning worked well.

Absolutely fantastic. Pools- great and clean. Beach- safe, clean and relaxing. Food- plenty of places, yummy, great variety. Everything in walking distance. Pricing is decent. Village shop, has everything.

A must visit in your lifetime!!!!

K'gari (Fraser Island) is just a wonderful place no matter where you stay, but Kingfisher Bay Resort is definitely an awesome, unforgettable place to stay!!

Lovely pre Christmas break with family. Rooms a little tired and could do with a refresh, food good, although clearing of tables at breakfast time was slow and some staff not very welcoming. Unsupervised older children in the pool area, made it unsafe for younger children.

Our last stay at KFB resort was as a couple in 2009 and I remember it being tired, worn down, staff having a "cant be arsed" attitude and the restaurant food being absolutely crap and over priced. I was reluctant to go back. Fast forward 16 years and as change goes this has been for the better. The place still remains the same resort retreat feel but its in a much better condition, staff are friendly and helpful and the food is a whole lot better. (Tho even a Mrs macs pie from a hotbox would have been an improvement on 2009) The resort looks in a lot better nick and there are plenty lounging areas around pools. We had a loft villa. For those thinking about staying..Upstairs gets hot so leave aircon on during day to cool it all down. Also there's quite a hill so you may want to take a trolley to cart things to/from car. Kitchen was basic. But villa was nice and comfortable For management... maybe consider ceiling fans... the pedestal fans struggle in loft area. Also maybe rotate more breakfast menu items a bit... Also maybe reduce light show price...for a family it can hit 200 bucks and its only 20mins so we were reluctant to spend the money incase of being disappointed. Other than that we had a great week holiday over xmas. S
