A 15 min walk to the Christmas market, with many restaurants, 2 grocery stores and a subway station nearby. There is a laundromat nearby. Our room was large and spacious. There is a hot water kettle, Nespresso and mini fridge. Beds are super comfortable. The black out blinds work fantastic. Free toiletries: bulk shampoo, conditioner, body wash and body lotion from Rituals. It smells very nice. We faced the tram and was on the 3rd floor. One night we could hear loud music from whatever was located beneath us. You can hear faint traffic noise and the sounds of the tram running. The pool is nice, although not very well kept. There are used towels all over the place and the floor was kind of dirty with stuff from people's outdoor footwear on the pool deck. There was no signage for people to shower before entering the pool, so not everyone did, which is kind of gross. There is a small kiddie pool which is a lot warmer than the main pool, but it's very small and very busy when we arrived. The pool closes at 10pm. There are towels and separate locker rooms. There is also a sauna (I think a wet sauna, but I didn't go close enough to verify). I didn't use the gym, but I did stick my head in and it looks nice. The equipment appears well maintained. The gym closes at midnight. We left our room in the afternoon one day, and when housekeeping came around, they didn't really clean the room, they had just made the beds and emptied the garbage. Underground secure parking costs 22€/ night with in and out privileges. The wifi sucks. I was mainly using my cellphone data. The signal was very weak and kept dropping me. My husband had the same problem. Make sure you have data!

We stayed here as a family of 10 to visit the Christmas markets this year. Our party consisted of 6 adults and four children across three rooms. The hotel was clean and pleasant & the location allowed easy access to the town. Our trip was marred however, by the house keeping staff knocking on our doors and coming into the rooms before 9am each morning! As we were on holiday and the days were full of walking and late nights, we were rather hoping for a lie-in, but the housekeeping team woke us all early every day leading to rather grumpy children by the end of the day! The Wifi is abysmal so absolutely no use if you're planning on working or need the internet for any reason. And lastly the pillows and duvets were paper thin and mattresses rock hard.

Outstanding service from a lovely receptionist, Rajan. Accomodating helpful attitude with a smile and a pleasure to talk to. Gluwein at the bar and service there was good too :-). Thank you for a lovely stay Rajan and the whole Novotel team.

This is the worst ever novotel hotel I had stayed thus far. The overall experience is totally disappointing- from the poor service @ check-in till stepping into the room ( it's stating as executive room but it simply seems like a standard basic room with spacious area! Poor customer service experience - - we've reached slightly by an hour and a half earlier than the standard check-in time. The receptionist simply tell me "we've received your bookings but the room is not ready with a unpleasant attitude and a bias facial expression! We went off and came back check-in as the standard check-in time again. This time, no one greeted us and not really want to attend to us by looking at different directions. When I passed my passport to register for check-in, one of the receptionist spoke to another receptionist (who is attending to me) in their native language but from that reaction, it simply implies that "this counter cannot be used" and simply shoved us to one side with no further guidance. Guess what, she is attending to another guest just second prior. The recept who held on to my passport proceed to another station and print a slip of paper with some pricing and asked me to sign on it without any explanation! - upon entering the room, the room is in its almost 'basic' condition - the sofa bed is super "mini" size with very thin mattress. (The smallest ever I've seen in any hotel I've stayed and wonder how is the support and sleep experience for my kiddo.) - a 5-star rated hotel but only a basic queen size mattress with no additional bed lining! It doesn't feel comfy at all! - when we called for housekeeping, that button showing on the phone is not working. With no choice, we've called the receptionist, all was guided is that they will passed the message to housekeeping. The message simply did not pass thru till a follow up call 30mins later! Adding on to the intolerable experience, the receptionist simply changed my gender by addressing me "sir" despite I've corrected him in several occasions! Lastly, the walls are very thin. You can hear lots of noises from the level up! To sum it out, aside from it's good location and clean room, it is simply overstated 5star hotel! Is not worth the price!

Why the 3 star? The beds and a little street noise. The hotel itself is great. Great location. Easy to get to. Nice and clean. Rooms are spacious and comfortable but the beds were hard as a rock and the pillows were way too soft. We were supposed to stay two nights but couldn't do it so we requested to change our reservation which they did. If they replace the beds and pillows, this place will deserve a 5 star. If you're a heavy sleeper, then the street noise shouldn't bother you. It wasn't super loud but loud enough to wake up a light sleeper. I recommend requesting a room on the other side of the hotel if you are.
