Dear Dawn, Thank you for your review. May I firstly apologise for any disappointment felt during your stay. I do apologise for the issue with the lift where there is fault preventing it from reaching the first floor. All going well this is being fixed this weekend as engineers have now managed to source the part we have been waiting for. Indeed, leaving the bathroom door wide open while showering could potentially set off the fire alarm due to steam reaching the detector within the bedroom. It is always advisable to close the bathroom door in any hotel when showering and closing it behind you when leaving the bathroom until the steam has settled. Your feedback about the decor has been noted and will be shared with our owner. We are planning a full refurbishment in 2025 which we are extremely excited about. We appreciate your feedback which is very well received and will be used to assist myself and the team making any necessary improvements to our product and service standards. Great staff, facilities and location - disappointing room

Dear guest, Thank you so much for your review. I am very sorry to hear of the issue you experienced during your stay with us. Since November 2023 we have brand new AC / heating within the rooms and we have checked room 409 to see that it works completely fine and without any issue. I am sorry should you have had any difficulty with the controls. Our team are available 24/7 and would have been delighted to assist with the controls to reach the desired temperature you required. I do apologise for any missing plug in the room and thank you for bringing this to my attention. I apologise for this not having been identified prior to your arrival. I will pass this on to my maintenance team immediately. I do further apologise for our location having proved to be more lively thank you may have expected. I am pleased to hear of your kind comments about the team and the breakfast you experienced. I look forward to sharing this feedback with them all. Dear guest, Thank you so much for your review and the details provided within it. I am sincerely very sorry should our location have come as an unwelcome surprise to you. We are centrally located within the most vibrant location of the city, making us the perfect choice for any guest who wishes to be right 'in the thick of it'. I do apologise should you have believed our location was quieter than it was. I am sorry should you have personally found the fire detectors within the room to have caused disturbance to you. These have been checked since you reported them. No issue has been found, the light you mention is a standard light found upon most detectors. I once again apologise should it have disturbed you. I thank you for your feedback about the room. We will bare this feedback in mind when putting together the final plans for our up and coming refurbishment. Your feedback is very well received and we will use it in every way possible when making improvements to our product and service standards. Dear Steve, Thank you for your message. I am very sorry to hear you were disturbed by external noise during your stay. Due to our city centre location and being in the most vibrant area of the city, ear plugs are provided in all bedrooms should guests wish to use them. I further apologise for any disturbance caused by workmen who were undertaking some work for us. I thank you for bringing this to our attention. We will speak to them to work more considerately around the hotel. I apologies once again.
