Hotel is simple, walkable distance from the metro, room was small but cleaned every day. They don't have some garbage bin in the room, only in the bath, so we collected plastic bottles and packages in a separate package and left in the corridor. It was cleaned the next day. Shutters at night make it possible to avoid street light in the room. But they don't protect from the noise. It's a busy street hotel is facing. Breakfast is also very "croissant and coffee" oriented but it's almost everywhere in France the same situation. But dining zone is cosy and relaxed. I had my birthday on the day of arrival. But i didn't get any greeting from the woman at the reception. My passport was checked though. For a hotel it doesn't cost much to pay more attention to details like this. Wi-fi has very stupid and old fashioned way of registering via email. I don't want to reveal my email and get lots of spam afterwards. Can i just get a password? It was anyway slow. I was using mobile internet instead.

I regularly stay at Ibis Styles hotels in France and this one was more like an Ibis Budget in all aspects (except breakfast a bit better than Ibis Budget). Room was tiny, couldnt even open my luggage in the room and the wifi was too slow.

Booked into Hotel, reception staff very friendly, I complained for 2 days about the A/C not working.On the 3rd day it was working fine, overnight they turned it down again so I woke up bathed in sweat.Overall the hotel is tired and the local area is a ghetto with tramps dossing on the pavement outside.Never again.

Just visited Marseille and chose this hotel for 2 nights due to price...on our way to Madrid. We arrived early via the Metro and quite a walk from the station we were given at the info desk at St Charles...hotel check in was 3pm and we waited until just after to finally get our room... Room ok for what we paid...went out exploring part of the city...found our closest metro station “Castellane”... front desk ok with directions to one attraction “Notre Dame” did not mention the Port Vioux area, which was really nice... Our Friday night stay was awful...there seemed to be some sort of street rally with cars, horns blaring, and racing down the main avenue...went on to all hours...nothing said at reception... Our window only had sheer curtains, with the outside shutter only 3/4 of the way down...had to sleep with our travel eye masks...not too good... room #305... Breakfast was the best...fresh orange juice, cereal,fruit,breads.yoghurt,tea and coffee included in the price... Location was good, with morning markets down both sides of our main avenue...

Decent value for the money but... Toilettes a bit old, breakfast with very little options and room view facing the inside not so nice as other buildings around. Although, comfortable mattress, clean bedroom and very friendly staff.
