Disappointing Stay at Novotel Gajah Mada Jakarta

I recently stayed at Novotel Gajah Mada Jakarta for 10 nights, and it was my worst stay ever. Despite having positive past experiences with Accor hotels, this stay was a nightmare. Upon arrival, I faced difficulties getting an upgrade due to slow responses and unprofessional service. Even after securing an upgrade, the room was outdated, with a weird smell in the bathroom and stained carpet, and there was no hot water. I had to endure cold showers for several nights, which made me sick. Attempts to resolve the issue were met with inadequate solutions, and I felt cheated by inconsistent pricing for upgrades. Some staff members were friendly and nice, but overall, the service and hotel itself was disappointing.

the best hotel in the town!!! a very strategic hotel in the city center, clean rooms, cold air conditioning, and friendly service. they got clean swimming pool and also a gym, don't forget the delicious food they had, yum! and the security, esp Mr. Lilik, is very helpful!

1. Staff on general polite. 2. Restaurant staff very polite,helpful and excellent service in morning section. 3. Toilet in horrible condtion. Fittings broken and not working. 4. Toilet smell very bad. 5. Carpet in room very old and smells bad. 6. Will like to visit second time.
