NOVOTEL This review is primarily for the attention of hotel management or anyone with the power to improve the hotel. It is a snapshot of my stay (one week in the hotel) and may not reflect reality throughout the year. 1. Location: - Kamala beach, with direct access to the beach... It's a very beautiful beach, but very touristy and public, with all the drawbacks that go with it (food, prices, surf rentals, etc.). The hotel is one km from the first restaurants. If you want to go out, a scooter is highly recommended. o Safe neighborhood and pleasant beach for evening strolls. 2. Reception : o In two parts, the front desk (male) receives you blasé and without any enthusiasm and on the other hand, I was warmly welcomed by another person passing by... Go figure. o Having had to call the front desk due to an oversight on the part of room service (no replacement water bottles), I had to come back twice to have my request taken into account. Too bad o Generally speaking, it's hot and cold at the front desk. o Last but not least, it's important to check your bill! Mine had simply doubled, 8000 baht instead of 4000. I'm convinced it was a mistake, but it shows the state of mind. o The bill is difficult to read (but readable if you go over it several times), so take photos of your consumption. It's quicker The room: o The basic room has all the necessary amenities Good quality bed, sheets and pillows. o Soundproofing could be improved, as this is a vacation hotel with very early starts. Earplugs essential. o Air-conditioning a little shabby and not very adjustable in our case (two rooms rented), but good quality blankets. o Facilities available (TV, minibar, safe, etc.). restocking sometimes left something to be desired (water, snacks). fortunately, there's a 7eleven 1.5 km from the hotel. o Generally speaking, the room was decent and clean. 3. Cleanliness: o Apart from the room, cleanliness is complicated: placemats sometimes not cleaned at breakfast, men's toilets in the lobby (shoes essential) not always in acceptable condition, glass with fingerprints etc. o This hotel clearly lacks attention to detail. 4. Facilities and amenities: o Free Wi-Fi operation with totally random membership, during several pool days, skip it if you need to work during your vacation (there's no decent place to put a computer and work for more than half an hour without having a sore back) o Special positive mention for gym, spa and pool o On-site catering options (restaurant, bar, breakfast included). 1. If you're a member of all accord: don't take the 2-hour all-you-can-drink option! 1. It's limited to 900 baht (ok I can understand, that's +/- 3 glasses of wine) 2. Worst of all: it's a special card, so don't expect to order a glass of wine like on the card, it's a much lower-quality wine, to say the least) absolutely not clearly indicated at the time of booking. 3. Two hours is two hours is not two hours one (even though I was granted a dispensation) the service time is extremely long. 2. I ordered a chicken curry and received an excellent curry with chicken vapors. The staff offered me coffee to try and make up for the sauce. 3. Breakfast. Presented an inventory of cooked vegetables and pasta ... one dish with meat (not every day) I was explained that an 'ethnic' group was present and that ... No meat for everyone. (except for industrial sausages and chewy bacon to accompany the eggs). The pastries were dry, the ham limited in quantity (8.30 plus ham) Quality tea sometimes lacking (fortunately there was a tea substitute) 3 coffee machines not always operational This gives a very strong impression of trying to economize on the products on offer. (Friday evening's buffet was another example of this). On a positive note: the staff did their utmost to ease the situation... Both with smiles, sometimes frankly sorry, and by trying to offer solutions often in the form of small freebies. It makes you feel uncomfortable 5. Value for money: o The quality/price ratio is not in the hotel's favor. 6. Overall experience: o Very mixed. 7. Positive and negative points: o Positive: The staff, most of whom (but not all) do their best. o Negative: the management in general, we feel that the directive is to push consumption (which I understand) but a feeling of 1. a total lack of support and training, 2. quality in product selection 8. Conclusion: o I went to the wrong hotel, which is a shame,

タオル交換が不十分の日が時々あった(特に、バスマットが交換されず、濡れたバスマットが再度ハンガーにかけられていた日があり、ひどいと感じた)。紅茶などの補充が全くなかった日があった。掃除スタッフは、途中でバスマットや紅茶が足りなくなったら、倉庫に取りに行き再度ゲストルームに戻り補充してほしい。(手抜きでしょうか? れとも、枕チップの金額に不満で、私たちにわざと意地悪しているのかしら?) 改善を強く望みます。

Novotel Phuket Kamala Beach is one of the few beachfront hotels in Phuket where you can wake up and step directly onto the beach. It also stands out for its generous UPGRADE policy for Accor Platinum members, offering room upgrades all the way to a Pool Villa. For a 3-day, 2-night stay, prices start at 6,6xx THB. With Platinum status, I initially booked the lowest-tier Superior room, but was upgraded to a Pool Villa. The Welcome Set was also upgraded to macarons and a cute fruit platter, accompanied by a personalized Welcome Back card. If rooms are available, late check-out can be extended up to 4:00 PM. The Welcome Drinks, now redeemable via the app (which is easy to forget), are valid for two guests. For those who enjoy drinking, there’s the My Glass Package with all-day access to beverages, and unlimited alcohol for two hours at 899++ THB. The package remains the same with free-flow drinks for two hours. Accor Plus members can use their standard discounts, including the 50% off for two guests. Breakfast Though the buffet is small, it’s well-curated and satisfying, featuring Thai food, hot dishes, and a live egg station. Presentation is excellent, and the flavors are enjoyable. You’ll find congee, salads, fruits, and rotating daily beverages. The self-service drink corner offers iced tea, iced coffee, and cold chocolate for all guests. The F&B staff are lovely, cheerful, and attentive to every guest’s needs. Service The service here surpasses 5-star standards. From Reservations, Front Desk, Housekeeping, Bellboys, to F&B teams, everyone is exceptionally polite and attentive. They remember guest preferences well, even if you visit often. Every time, the staff provides clear explanations of hotel benefits and is always helpful. Meals, including lunch and dinner, are served promptly with large portions, and the cocktails are delicious across the board, with new drink options available regularly. If you enjoy drinks by the pool at sunset, the atmosphere here is perfect. Facilities and Atmosphere For early risers, the fitness center is a great option, along with long walks along the beautiful beach to take in the fresh sea breeze. The bathrooms offer strong water pressure and consistent hot water. However, since the hotel has been around for a while and frequent rainfall makes maintenance challenging, some rooms, including villas, are starting to show minor wear and tear. Note that stairs are required to access some villas, which may not be ideal for guests with mobility issues or those who’ve had too much to drink. One unique perk for drink enthusiasts is the free ice dispenser available in every building—perfect for those who want to enjoy drinks in their room without extra charges. The beach is beautiful, with soft sand and strong waves. In summary, Novotel Phuket Kamala Beach will likely remain our top choice. I hope it becomes one of yours too if you're visiting Phuket!

Wow! With direct beach access at the end of the bay (ie no through traffic) and its pool right by the beach this is a beautifully located hotel. Facilities are ageing but comfortable and clean although the common tiled corridors and covered walkways connecting the buildings can get messy especially on rainy days. The hotel has commenced ongoing refurbishment - the owners are obviously aware it is in need of some TLC. The price point reflects this and, having 5 star hotel and resort experience, we were pegged back our expectations to match and thoroughly enjoyed our 5 night stay here. The only disappointment was the gym where the cardio equipment was old and worn and the only treadmill in action was dangerous to use due to a worn motor and/or slipping belt. But putting the gym aside (who needs one anyway whilst on holiday at the beach?!): Really comfortable beds and spacious room with seating arrangement in very good condition. Airy shaded lobby with comfy seating. Lovely restaurant with tasty offering. Rooftop bar for those sunsets - all with unobstructed views to the beach and sea within a stone throw’s distance (if you don’t count the palm trees 😎) Great staff - friendly, open, approachable and helpful. A special “Hey there!” to my favourite masseuse of our 7 week Asia trip: Barbie. The Spa was really nice and my 3 deep tissue massages took me to the edge without breaking me 👍🏻❤️ Honoured the 50% couples dining discount for Accor Plus members. Also tried to complimentary upgrade us to a junior suite with pool and seaviews for nights 2 to 5 but given our solid sleep on our first night in our standard room in Building 5 (way, way, way out from the lobby) and the washing drying rig we’d already set up on the balcony there we went down in history as the only Crazy Couple who turned down a complimentary upgrade (and didn’t live to regret it) 🤣🤣🤣 To the team at the Novotel Kamal Beach: Thank you from the Crazy Couple!
