Novotel Phuket Kamala Beach ist ein schönes, nicht so großes, direkt am Strand Kamala Beach gelegenes Hotel. Unser Zimmer lag am Ende des Flures, in der oberen Etage; es war ruhig, vom Hotelbetrieb bekamen wir fast nichts mit. Es war zusätzlich für den Aufenthalt von drei Personen vorbereitet worden. Die einstellbare Klimaanlage lief ruhig und störungsfrei bei für uns angenehmen 27 Grd. C. Als Verpflegung hatten wir nur Frühstück, das sehr gut und abwechslungsreich war. Essen waren wir nachmittags in einem der zahlreichen Strandrestaurants entlang der Küste. Den Poolbereich und Spa haben wir nicht genutzt. Schnorcheln konnte man gut am Ende der felsigen Kamala Bucht, schwimmen in der Mitte der Bucht gegen Abend zum Gezeitenwechsel und bei etwas erhöhten Wellengang. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir kamen früh an und konnten nach einer kurzen Wartezeit noch vor der offiziellen CheckIn Zeit unser Zimmer beziehen. Es war alles in allem ein gelungener Urlaub, inbegriffen die Ausflüge und Besuche des Kamala Marktes.

Einige Dinge haben nicht geklappt, wir mussten sehr lange auf den Bezug des Zimmers warten, erst nach 16h konnten wir dann (nach Eskalation) endlich das Zimmer beziehen. Das Essen ist eher bescheiden in der Qualität, aber den anderen Gästen scheint das ok zu sein, war auch gut so, dann isst man das was der Körper gerade braucht und nicht mehr. Die Highlights waren: der Assitance Manager Top, nice tour wie er mit den Gàsten umgeht, sondern auch wie er mit den Mitarbeitern umgeht, das hat uns sehr gefallen. Er motiviert die Kollegen, packt überall mit an, schon so was heutzutage noch zu sehen. Dann der Nikoy wir habe es genossen Abends seine Interpretationen Hits der 70iger und 80iger zu hören. Die beiden haben den Aufenthalt dann doch auf Zufrieden angehoben. Danke nochmals an die Beiden.
