As a gold member, I was upgraded to a larger room. It was very good for our family. The hotel is located in the Susukino area, which is a central area, convenient for travel, shopping and many restaurants.

Great Location but Disappointing Service on Special Occasion

Mercure Sapporo Hotel has an excellent location in the heart of Susukino, within walking distance to Tanuki Koji, making it ideal for exploring Sapporo's vibrant nightlife and shopping areas. The room, however, was on the small side at 21m² and offered a view of the building next door (APA Hotel), which was a bit disappointing. The service experience was somewhat inconsistent. Upon arrival after a long-haul flight, we didn’t receive the warm welcome we expected; the Japanese lady at the front desk seemed somewhat unwelcoming toward foreigners, which felt disheartening. Unfortunately, the service fell short of expectations, particularly given our special occasion. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary and staying for three nights, but the Japanese lady at the front desk offered no acknowledgment, upgrade, or even a discount on the breakfast buffet, which left us feeling undervalued as guests. On a positive note, the Caucasian lady concierge in the morning was exceptionally helpful and friendly, offering great recommendations on nearby attractions. Overall, Mercure Sapporo’s location is its biggest strength, but the service could benefit from more consistency.

Great Hotel and Great Location

Great Location in the Heart of Suskino. Hotel had fairly large rooms and is super easy to access with transit to and from the airport by bus and subways below. Food is everywhere around this hotel and in the heart of what is known as the entertainment district of Sapporo. Pricing was very reasonable as well and rooms very clean. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Overall, a great 4 night stay.

Very nice hotel and nothing to complain about. The rooms are small, but nice with all the amenities. Breakfast had an adequate selection, but what was offered was good quality. The location can’t be beat, smack in between two subway stations. Lastly the staff are extremely friendly and accommodating. They are what makes this hotel.

Just checked out. I had a great time. It’s our first time at the property and we are on tour celebrating my birthday. We are ACCOR plus Platinum members both my husband and I. I truly am touched to be recognized by the hotel team; reservations, front desks and house keeping. Hospitality: 5 stars Our room got upgraded and set up with happy birthday decorations on bed. We got complimentary drinks delivered to our room. We had a small talk with the lady staff who brought us the drinks. She was really kind, polite and very high hospitality paying attention to small details which could impress us even higher. Staff here are willing to help. House keeping (15F) is kind and polite. Food: 5 stars The breakfast that we had was good quality. We liked everything we tried. We also had a chance to join lounge which doesn’t have schedule everyday. The staff were very energetic. Selections are high quality. I am impressed. Room: 5 stars Privilege room comes in decent size with everything travelers need. Good bed, tub, nicely aromatic toiletries. Warm water and warm toilet seat cover is really great for us❤️ Location: 5 stars Close to everything you need. You can simply move around to other places easily through public transportations. Just a short walk away to enjoy shopping and good food is around the hotel itself‼️ A great choice for travelers is here. Hope you like the hotel the way we like ❤️❤️❤️
