This would be the most wonderful, comfortable and roomy units we have stayed in. the bed was very very comfortable, the pillows just a good. It had a double bed and two single beds in another room. It had a spa bath and a lounge not to forget the balcony over looking the town.The dinner was delicious and the service from Sandra was simply perfect. She is person with the best peoples skills Thank you Sandy I would never go past here if In in town. Thank you to the admin girls and the bar staff.

We are new to Australia and weren't sure quite what to expect in Port Macquarie as we came through on a group tour. It's a lovely small city with a beautiful beach/promenade area and a wide variety of restaurants to choose from! The Mercure was an oasis in the middle of the city, well located in walking distance to restaurants, shops, and the beach. Our room was spacious, clean, and well-maintained, with a very comfortable bed and strong A/C. Helpful staff and delicious breakfast. Our only regret was that we were only there for one night and didn't have time to enjoy the pool or our room's terrace. We did enjoy the delicious hot breakfast before heading off!

A beautiful hotel vith friendly staff great prices we booked after another over priced hotel was going to charge us additional cost on to our booking with out telling us so I cancelled the booking with another hotel and got a room $113 cheaper at Mercure port Macquarie a wonderful experience huge spa suit with massive tv a king bed two king singles and apartment style room with a big baloney with a table and lounge chair to set at the room was clean and smelt lovely another table in the room with four chairs and comfy pillows a coffee ☕ maker a mini bar fridge a spa bath with a huge shower and pump toiletries baby wash shampoo and conditioner heaps large bottles no need for toiletries if your own a huge movie select and you tube you can come cast from your mobile phone number.over all we saved money got a gorgeous room and no noise from other guests good sound proof room and door don't go anywhere else because it was a excellent hotel.just be careful in parking people drive very fast up the ramp parking 10 dollars but worth it safe parking . excellent service and facilities igs is just around the corner for any purchases with port central 2 minutes away with cafes and restaurants they do room service in the hotel and restaurant is located down stairs with dinner and breakfast options buffet breakfast available.

What a fabulous overnight stay at Mercure Centro. Older style hotel in the Port Macquarie CBD but very well maintained and clean. As Accor Platinum we appreciated the upgrade to a large spa Suite on the top level. The staff were all incredibly nice and helpful and knew their jobs very well. This included Reception and F and B staff. Dinner in the Birdrock Bar and Grill was exceptional and the staff were professional and friendly. We also enjoyed a Happy Hour drink in the cute Bar area. The included breakfast was delicious and fresh and we enjoyed our Coffee and Chai. Overall a fabulous stay and we would not hesitate to stay again.

Stayed a night in July due to Qantas flight cancellation. This was at the end of a work trip. It was a busy evening due to cancelled flights and school holidays. Good location close to centre of town and shops. There are car spots outside for pick-up/drop off and taxis. Small reception area. Often may need to wait in queue. Staff are polite and efficient. Key to tap to gain access to the door is temperamental- doesn’t always work well. Room is reasonably spacious (it’s all subjective, isn’t it? Others have said it’s small). I got a queen room on level 1. Not the greatest location but probably one of their few remaining vacant rooms. Convenient in that I don’t need to wait for the lift. Despite being on 1st floor and near reception, the walls are great at being sound-proof. Being on 1st (ground) floor also meant no views from balcony- just high fence and wall. The balcony opens to the terrace- tables and chairs for patrons of the restaurant? And pool access. Room itself is clean, tidy, all the usual amenities- tea/coffee/kettle, cups, mini bar fridge, ironing board, hair dryer. Comfortable bed with an assortment of pillows (different firmness and height). Extra pillows and blankets in the cupboard. There’s a desk and 2 chairs, lounge chair. Quality block-out curtains. Bathroom has hand wash, body lotion, shampoo, conditioner, body wash in large pump pack. These products are heavily perfumed, as is the room itself (and reception/whole building?), which I wasn’t fond of (indoor air-pollution often times is worse than outdoor air-pollution). Large TV with no Netflix (unless you log in your own account) but has pre-loaded movies, many of which are recent. Unfortunately the TV settings (eg brightness) can’t be changed. Comfortable shower. Wardrobe with clothes hangers. Full-length mirror (surprisingly not always provided in accommodations). There were plenty of power points – at least 10. Desk lamp, bedside lamps, wall lights, ceiling lights. I usually prefer dim lighting at night, so pay attention to this and leave such remarks. I ordered room service and the meal was delivered promptly. $5 service fee applies in addition to the costs. I had no issues with wifi. As the flight next day is late, I asked for a late check-out and was offered 11am. Overall, pleasant experience. Just wish the place smelt of fresh air instead of air-fresheners/perfume. To open leave the balcony door open would’ve been too cold (and unsafe?).
