The 4-star Mercure Sheffield St Paul's Hotel & Spa is perfectly located in the heart of Sheffield city centre. Its central location provides guests with-easy access to major transport links, including Sheffield railway station and regular services to Sheffield Airport. Perfect for leisure trips and shopping breaks, guests can choose from 169 modern bedrooms including the classic or privilege rooms, or for something extra special, the junior suite offers views over Sheffield and provides luxury touches.

The Yard restaurant boasts a superb international menu served in a contemporary setting. Those looking for something even more elegant will enjoy The Champagne Bar; a stunning retreat with outdoor seating which makes for the perfect end to the day. As well as the indoor heated pool and fully equipped fitness centre, the spa has a sauna, steam room, snail shower and ice fountain. There are seven fully-equipped meeting rooms, the largest of which can welcome up to 600 guests.

Located in the heart of Sheffield, the hotel is easily accessible via most major transport links. Guests travelling by road should exit the M1 at J33 and follow the signs to Sheffield. Both Sheffield station and airport are also in close proximity.

Please be advised on Sunday 23rd March 2025, Sheffield will be taking part in the Sheffield Half Marathon, Road closures will be in place to accommodate this which will restrict access to the hotel, in particular, Norfolk Street, Surrey Street, Arundel Gate & Charles Street from 04:00am with planned re-opening at 16:00pm. Please use Arundel Gate car park entrance via the Sheffield Interchange.

My daughter had booked a package for myself at the spa which included 2 x 50 minutes treatments. I choose the face and body massage and the hand treatment. Wow just wow the ladies Hannah and Lucy made me feel so relaxed and calm. They talked me through everything that they were doing and I left feeling amazing. As it was my first time I was back and forth with reception as I was unsure of what and where I should be but again you staff were amazing Josie and Nicola on reception helped me and made me feel so welcoming. I decided to stay the night at the hotel just the cheapest double bed but the size of the room were a good size the bathroom had separate bath and shower and was very clean throughout. I had a fantastic view of the peace gardens from my room. The small fridge and safe were great handy additions to the room. The only thing I will say was the afternoon tea was good but the cakes were dry and I feel like there should be less cake and maybe a quiche or some savoury item instead of 4 cakes, bit again I ate it and the service was brilliant. I will definitely be back again soon.

Junior suites are a let down

Stayed in a junior suite .. spa and pool lovely but lady at reception didn’t provide me with a locker key .. as one of the lifts was out I wasn’t going 2 flights of stairs back up to get one … I’m not a large person but the robes in rooms are small or else with cleaning have become small.. ceiling tiles in our room broken and only 1 side bed light as the other one is missing. The seated area was nice but could do with a tv in that area as I didn’t want to lie in bed to watch tv by day. Ohh fancy coffee machine had parts missing and no pods !! Very disappointing . Breakfast area is beautiful… some good and some not so good about our stay.
