Avoid gone downhill

Things have drastically gone downhill... firstly when checking in receptionist miserable. Room was very scruffy. Went down to use pool sauna. Was told there was a extra £10 charge!! And awful night sleep as mattress had collapsed. And dog in next room barking constantly. Shall not be returning. Horrible experience.

My partner booked for our first anniversary, hotel and spa and food in the city 3pm day of booking we were told that or spa day was cancelled the person was sick was shocked seen as the size of the hotel they had only one person for our treatment. My partner paid for a upgraded room Which was spacious but not very clean for a executive suite The next morning we had room service breakfast we pulled the tables from the corner to sit in front of the window and look over Cardiff half way through our breakfast my partner pointed to something on the floor , it was a bag of illegal substances we called for management she came collected what we had found and left without a care in the world , terrible service

If you're thinking of booking a room at this hotel just a tip, a couple of expensive items of clothing went missing duing my stay, three in total one was recovered from lost property but the other two they have no clue to where they are, they don't seem bothered to where they are, and Burnadett behind reception was absolutely useless..So keep an eye on your items even in your room.

Lincano, Alpi and Krishna were very welcoming at the bar. good atmosphere and drinks. would deffinitely come back. Laura at reception was so nice and professional. I had a great time at the hotel. The rooms were clean and fresh. I recommend the hotel and would definitely come back.

I am pre-posting this as my partner and I are due to stay at the Mecure Cardiff Holland House on Sunday 8th December. I booked this a few weeks ago and before booking I contacted the hotel to check some information regarding the facilities as some online sites there were conflicting messages regarding use of facilities, so I contacted the hotel by email and phone who told me that if I was an Accor member that there would be no extra charge for the use of facilities and I proceeded to book hotel. since then I have been told there is a charge so this has changed my plans and I will not be using this hotel again.
