We stayed one night at this hotel, its location is perfect , so close to the city centre, bars, restaurants and shops .. the rooms are small but clean , the beds were soft with fluffy pillows..

Second time here, seemed better this time with attentive service and staff very friendly and helpful, shout out to Rolex in the bar, great drinks and service and sorted out a couple of billing issues for us, quiet and enjoyable accomodation in a convenient area, looking forward to coming back again

The hotel is very nicely located right in the middle of the city centre, close to loads of shops, restaurants and cafes as well as the Tram City tour. Hotel facilities including restaurants and bar are in great condition. The executive room is spacious with a nice couch on the side. Facilities in the room are what could be expected at such a hotel rating. However, the space to store for your clothes is limited and there is really no space to store your luggage apart from the room's floor. Staff are very helpful and cheerful.

We had a pretty good stay. Managed to book during a conference period which meant rates were VERY, VERY high. Decent welcome but no recognition of status. I must commend Josh on reaching out to me by phone the day before arrival to see what they could do to make the stay a great one. Late check out (a Gold benefit) was only one extra hour. Anything else you had to pay for. I get it but with the rate we were paying you would hope for some leniency but alas no. A bit of a miss. No upgrade available as hotel was full - no problem. Had booked the room type I wanted. Rooms are looking a bit tired. There is so much scuffing on the wood which really cheapens the look. Whoever thought having the sink outside the bathroom should be sacked. It was impractical and had the dumbest mirror set up ever seen. Bathroom itself was fine with an easy to use shower and decent water pressure. Did enjoy the "free" mini bar snacks and soft drinks. Had dinner in the restaurant on the first night. The setting is what you would expect and is quite comfortable. Staff need more training on the wine. When asking what blend the wine was, the explanation was "it is a blend of grapes". Hmmmm.....perhaps the exact grapes would be more useful. When pushed, he just made it up. The food is really quite average although we did rate the carparcio. Breakfast is your standard buffet with the usual items. Nice touch having an egg station. The included coffee is pretty grim - avoid. We paid extra for the barista coffee each day which is decent.

For some reason flights from Australia to Christchurch arrive between Midnight and 2am but when ourselves and another couple of guests arrived in the very early morning we were greeted by a very friendly and helpful young lady who got us sorted very quickly but was more than happy to answer any questions. We had an executive room with a king bed. The room was a good size and also included a chaise longue. Didn't realise when we booked but it had a free mini bar included and was refilled each day. Chips, Choclate Bar, Cookie and Soft Drinks. That was a nice surprise. We had a 9th floor room looking out over the square, so the room had a nice bright feel and no issues with noise. You are really close to everything
