I am reviewing as a single 60 year old male. Just to let you know. It is a smart, clean comfortable hotel with good transport access to everything. It has the large hero's square open area, statues and park opposite. The staff are extremely accommodating and speak a good variety of languages. The food is basic but very nice, Rooms are very clean and comfortable with the higher ones having a great view over the city. There is the zoo within walking distance and winter a scating rink. Lots of good restaurants near bye and a short 7 stop hop buy bus to the city centre with all the pubs and clubs and of course the river Danube, Castle and Basilica. A great well priced and well situated hotel.

Very spacious and clean room. Whenever we used the shower, water flooded out of the bathroom door and into the entrance area. Had to put towels on floor. Front desk said this was a problem in most upper floor rooms. Air conditioner did not deliver cool air. Breakfast tables not well cleaned, just cleared and crumbs brushed on to floor. Hot food was cold unless freshly topped up. Coffee machines frequently ran out.

However, we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience you experienced with the shower flooding and the air conditioning not meeting your expectations. Unfortunately, due to the the changeable weather and temperature in these weeks we have to measure which method is the best for all guests. Our system can only cool or heat in the same time. Unable to do both. That's why why we turned on the air conditioning system on Monday. We appreciate your comments regarding the cleanliness of breakfast tables and the temperature of the hot food, as well as the coffee machines. Your observations are invaluable as we strive to enhance our services. Thank you for choosing us, and we hope to welcome you back in the future. An excellent hotel for a comfortable stay in Budapest! The location is very convenient — close to major attractions, shops, and public transport. The rooms are clean, cozy, and well-equipped, with everything needed for a pleasant stay. The staff are friendly, attentive, and always ready to assist with any requests. Breakfast is varied and delicious, a great start to a busy day in the city. Great value for money — Ibis meets all expectations and creates a cozy atmosphere right in the heart of Budapest. We would definitely stay here again!

Was a Great Experience. Staff very helpful and friendly from reception, bar to kitchen staff and maids. We are Going to Miss your Cappuccino 🙂 Breakfast was basic but ok, just a suggestion instead of rice would have been better boiled eggs. Rooms are very basic but they were cleaned every day and fresh towels were provided too. Would like to add a suggestion if a small kettle was provided in the room would be great. Bathrooms are very small and the use of the toilet is impossible if you have tall legs as it faces the wall Thanks God I am short so I fitted ok. Overall I would suggest this Hotel if you are on a budget as it is VERY CENTRAL and Metro, Bus and Tram are in the very vicinity. Would suggest you take a 72hrs ticket and you can use all the above mentioned Transport. Zoo and Heroes Square are just 2min away.
