Disappointing Experience for an Accor Member

I booked my stay on 03.01.2026 to celebrate my son’s birthday, choosing Novotel specifically because of my Accor membership benefits. The booking was made correctly under my membership, and I checked into the room without any issue. One hour after check-in, I received a call from the reception stating that the service provided was chargeable, and that only the next day would be free. This was extremely confusing and unacceptable. When I questioned this, the staff informed me that the Accor policy had changed six months ago and that I now needed to pay. My concern is very simple and valid: -> If the policy truly changed, why was no email sent to members? -> Why was this not clearly mentioned at the time of booking? -> Why was this issue raised after check-in, instead of before confirming the stay? After a stressful discussion, I was asked to wait 10 minutes and was later told that the service would be provided free of cost. While I appreciate the final resolution, this situation completely ruined the experience, especially since this stay was meant to be a birthday celebration. What disappointed me the most was the attitude and handling of the situation. This kind of discussion should never happen with a loyal Accor member, and it left my family feeling uncomfortable and unwelcome. Because of this experience, my family has decided not to continue with Accor membership in the future. Novotel is known for professionalism and hospitality, but this experience fell far below expectations. ⭐ Rating: 1/5

The hotel provided a very pleasant and comfortable stay. Cleanliness was clearly a top priority, as both the rooms and common areas were spotless throughout our visit. The rooms were well maintained, neatly arranged, and offered a relaxing environment after a long day. The housekeeping team deserves special appreciation for their attention to detail, consistency, and professionalism. Every request was handled promptly, and daily cleaning was done thoroughly. Overall, the hotel reflects high standards of hygiene and care, making it a reliable choice for travelers who value cleanliness, comfort, and a well-managed stay. I would gladly recommend this hotel to others

Beautiful team here with a wonderful ambiance I had amazing food and the team here is brilliant , especially chef Monica, chef Nayan, Nayan, Kimin, and chef Jitendra. Their team At breakfast went above and beyond to accommodate me. I think this is the best customer service I’ve had in the state. -A

Not great but hotel location is good calm and peaceful to stay hence it is not in mid citiy you feel like calm place
