After a good evening out me and my husband went to our room, the heater would not work so we got into bed to watch TV, my husbands side of the bed was wet through, after reporting this the bedding and quilt was changed. Our evening was spoilt thanks Ibis

Visited for two nights for my birthday. My fiancé had booked here as a surprise trip for me. The hotel had everything we needed for us both and our cocker spaniel. Rooms are not very big but as a place to leave bags and have a shower and a sleep it’s perfect. Hairdryer and tea and coffee station, towels and toiletries all included. Didn’t have breakfast as at £12 per head it seems a little on the expensive side and there are many cheaper options on the doorstep. Staff were all lovely and friendly. Only reason I knocked off a star is upon arrival my fiancé was asked to pay the extra charge for us having a dog with us which he had already paid. Upon check out a different member of staff realised we had paid this twice and it is now in the process of being refunded. Not sure why the original member of staff couldn’t see it had already been paid, especially after being told as much.

Check in was fast and the hotel is in a great location just across from Lace Market car park on which you receive a discount on parking. Room was tired and the view from our window was a brick wall. Veneer was chipping on the furniture but it was clean a d the bed was comfortable. Average Ibis budget even though it’s not a budget. Probably wouldn’t choose to stay here again but it was fine for a one nighter.

Arrived at the Ibis in the evening after flying from Spain,was booked for 5 nights and was met with a lovely warm welcome.My room and bathroom were spotless and plenty of tea/coffee available plus a Tesco express just next door. Can highly recommend as it is the perfect city centre hotel within easy reach of shops,Market Square and Hockley which has an abundance of coffee shops, restaurants and an independent cinema. Altogether a very lovely positive experience,nothing was too much trouble! Will definitely use again!5 stars!

Booked due to convenience for a conference. Room was absolutely fine. Like others have said it could do with a refresh in places, but was definitely adequate for our 2 night stay. The bathroom is a rather clever setup. It is like a pod and the shower has been built in utilising the available space really well. You end up with a deceptively spacious shower. Loads of hot water. Little bit scrimpy on the towels, 1 bath towel for each of us and no hand towel. I could have done with another towel for my hair, but not the end of the world and I think if I had asked for one it wouldn't have been an issue. Breakfast buffet was fine, clean and restocked regularly. The breakfast staff were brilliant, really friendly and efficient. The hotel is in an ideal location, everything you could need around you- including a very handy Tesco Express right next door.
