All the hotel staff is great, especially Mae, who arranged to have our laundry done for us, speaks fluent English and is warm and very helpful. The retaurant deserves a Michelin Star. We were there for a week and ate 5 times! (It's not open on the weekend.) After a month in France, we found it the best consistently wonderful food at a great price. The breaskfast is also first rate. The location was perfefct for touring all the great out of the way palces like Vitre, Fougeres, Josselin, Dinan and others and also the more known attractions of Mt. St. Michel, St. Malo, Latte and Cap Feral.

Stopped at this hotel many times this will be the last for a four star Mercure it lets the brand down. Very tired!!! This particular visit the breakfast and service no other word for it Atrocitious .a French hotel with no pattiseries and stale bread and cooked food which was cold and swimming in fat. Receptionist/Waitress totally uninterested. The night before stayed at Ibis Cahors everything was excellent just goes to prove bathrobes and slippers do not a good hotel make. John Denholm

Good position on the south ring of Rennes / easy to catch lit of destination in surrounding Clean, simple hotel with good ratio price/quality. If you dont expect to much (no fridge in the rooms e.g.) you will be satisfy.

Despite its location it is a very quiet, clean and comfortable hotel with helpful staff and plenty of easy parking right outside the front door. It has double - double glazing so don't worry about the nearby ring road and it is definitely worth going for the slightly upmarket "Privilege rooms" way bigger and lots of free goodies including a decent coffee machine. Bed is massive and comfy and the A/C works (we were there in the heatwave - 39C and it was lovely and cool and serene). A great stop over!

Overall very good, staff were excellent and I really appreciated the room upgrade, my only complaint is the air con didn't work as I was at front of building I couldn't open window due to traffic noise so room was very stuffy.
