We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this hotel. The room was large and bed was comfy. The staff were do friendly breakfast was good and was 58 Swiss francs for two. There was a tram outside and we had unlimited use of the tram system Basel is so nice

Good location, quiet area. Nice, warm and quiet room. Stayed at a double room with a roof terrance and garden view. Albeit it's too cold to enjoy the terrance but still great. View from the terrace was lovely overlooking the gardens and residential buildings. Comfy bedding. Room and furniture were a bit dated. All essential toiletries were provided. Attentive concierge. Always received quick response. Next to a Coop supermarket, very convenient. There's a kind of food hall on the same street where you could enjoy all different cuisines. With the Basel card it's really easy to get around to everywhere. Overall thoroughly enjoyed the stay.

The hotel from the outside doesn't really stand out at first, however when you walk into the lobby and reception area it is very welcoming, modern and pleasant. There is a tram stop just up the street from the hotel, I think it was line 2 from the main rail station as I used the airport bus to get from Basel airport to the main rail station then get the tram from there to the hotel. All in all an easy process getting from the airport, I believe the hotel confirmation acts as a tram ticket and they provide a pass for the trams and buses which is a great way to get around. I tended to walk around as the local sights are within walking distance but is nice to have the option. Hotel staff spoke excellent English and were incredibly helpful, I didn't try breakfast or dinner there but there is a supermarket next door and other restaurants nearby for food if you are room only and don't want to eat in the hotel. Staff were obliging with giving out directions and recommending trips etc. which was brilliant. Only small thing I found odd was there seemed to be no double lock feature on the door which I found strange, otherwise the hotel room was well appointed with in room safe, good choice of UK TV channels and nice toiletries. Room was impeccably clean and the balcony was great even though it was cold, it was nice to have a view.

Excellent hotel in a great location. Hotel is just by Mezzeplatz tram station so easy to get around the city by public transport or by foot. All public transport is free as the hotel provide a Basel card for the duration of your stay. The card showcases 50% off many attractions to entice tourists to explore the best of Basel. The hotel is elegant, clean and rooms are spacious. Room was super hot overnight but the hotel provided a fan quickly to us. Breakfast buffet is very good with lots of choice and lovely staff all round. Highly recommend this hotel.

it was 11.30 in the morning almost noon time that we arrived . I approached to reception whether any early checkin might be possible Alexander clarified no possibility at the time of year. During 12 days trip Brussels, Paris, Strasburg i got a cold and not feeling well with this feeling we went out to somewhere spent time till 3 pm and found a nice Italian restaurant . We came back and thanks God Alexander upgraded us to room 620 junior suit room . Room was very comfortable good size heavenly bed i rested and went down to Bistro had burgers . i also requested a small heater because of my sickness and done without any delay. Overall it was a nice hotel located very close to center only few minutes walk crossing the bridge.
