The receptionist- rude, the sheets and towels- irty, the room-dirty

The service was very bad. The receptionist (who was very rude) gave us dirty towels the sheets were dirty also. There is not enough space in the room for two people and we were three. Don’t come here you can definitely find something better for the same price or for less. Fix your stuff Ibis this isn’t okay for this price.

One of the low coast hotels in Metz located in a commercial area near fast food restaurants which close at 10:00 p.m. The hotel has a private car park which is never closed. The beds are comfortable and clean. However, housekeeping is poor. Unsupervised work. The smell of pipes that rises in the shower cubicle, you are obliged to ventilate a few seconds before taking the shower. The cumulus of dust are everywhere on the nooks and crannies

Great Ibis budget hotel near technical university campus

Ibis budget is the most basic of the Ibis brands of Accor hotels--I chose this one for proximity to the technical university campus where Georgia Tech University has an overseas program. The breakfast was well worth the additional 5 euros--pain chocolate and croissants, espresso, yoghurt. Near large CORA, like Walmart to supply your university student. I wouldn't stay there to visit Metz--it's a 20 minute bus ride from downtown, although Metz has its own interactive bus app (Le Met) that makes it easy to get there (Google Maps didn't do as well with buses). The hotel is a 2 minute walk from end of the Mettis A bus line at Jacques Michelet (from the train station, catch A bus towards Borny)

Driving up from Italy this was just a place to rest my head and so I had no real expectations. However it certainly exceeded these. Firstly the car park has an extremely secure looking automatic gating, which is much more than you usually get. Reception is similar to a premier inn level back home again more than the usual budget options here. Lift to all floors. Room was clean, sheets were clean, no grotty carpets. Shower pod clean although drain was a bit stinky. The only downside was the thin walls so you can hear everyone’s toilet flushes and showers nearby. Located just across the street from a supermarket and easy access back onto the motorway with an easy 3.5hrs up to the tunnel for a morning crossing - can’t complain.

The room wasn't clean, the shower wasn't clean. the doorknob from the toilet was missing. E-mails were not answered. The telephone was not answered. Apparently the number was out of use. How is this possible in a company that boasts on customer service..
