Does everything the brand should. Spacious and comfortable room with a little extra investment in style. Convenient location for railway station, city centre and attractions. All offered at an incredibly good price. However air conditioning was either switched off or not working and we really could have done with it on a very hot evening. Seems an odd situation when the facility is there. Didn’t get as comfortable a sleep as we could have done and this brings my rating done.

The hotel is well located, being only 10-15 minutes from the train station and about the same to the old town and the cathedral. I liked that they’d made a rather plain building look prettier by planting window boxes of red geraniums. We were allotted a spacious room on the 3rd floor, (301) larger than the normal Ibis room and facing the front. Fairly quiet but we could hear a little bit of road noise and some noisy kids! There must be a school across the road. Enjoyed a complimentary welcome drink after we prompted the receptionist. Close to restaurants. We didn’t try the breakfast as there was a good bakery a couple of doors down.

Im a fan of Ibis budget but by far this was the one I found the most faults with. There were not enough towels, the bunk bed was not made and the shower leaked but no rug was placed. When I went to ask for towels, none of the girls working in the morning spoke English, Spanish or Catalan so it was extremely difficult to communicate with them. Although the hotel was one of the most beautiful Ibis budget we’ve been in I’m not sure we would recommend it.

Poor experience

We booked 7 rooms via booking. Com with confirmation and further standard e mail 2 days before arrival .On arrival told no booking even though they traced it on the system. Blamed it on "system error " and also tried to blame booking. Com. No apology. Found alternative rooms for us in town on run down industrial estate with clientele who lets say did not make us feel safe. Unable to get back to town as no taxis available. There was nowhere local to eat so we went hungry. Whole holiday evening was ruined. If I could give a worse rating I would. Very angry at poor handling of problem. Will not use Ibis or Booking.com again

Small rooms with excellent beds and good bathrooms Flexible shower hoses for convenience. Budget and full breakfasts. Clean everywhere. Cheerful staff. Locked garage. Very pleasant place to stay, as with most Ibises.
