Stayed here for one week with my two 10-year old sons. Positives: - Spacious suite. - Very comfortable bed and decent shower. - Good free WiFi. - Great location next to some big shopping malls so lots of food and entertainment options. - Friendly staff on reception and in the restaurant. - Decent quality breakfast (although at BD10 per head was quite expensive for what was offered). - Nice artworks throughout hotel. - Gym looked decent although I didn't use it. Not so positives - Tired room decor. Needs an overhaul. - Inconsistent housekeeping. Room only cleaned twice during the one-week stay (maybe it is on request only). - Room service was poor. No answer when called, and took several attempts by the operator to finally put me through direct to the restaurant so I could order. Continental breakfast that arrived was average at best and not worth the money. - Indifferent staff apart from reception and restaurant. Overall, however, it was decent value for money. Would I stay again? Maybe but I'd prefer a place with warmer, better trained staff and more modern rooms.

Excellent night stay we had recently. It was great and wonderful room. They had given us very large room including huge hall and reception. Coffee machine was available too with all needed items. Mr. Mubashir at the reception’s desk was very helpful and showed his professionalism dealing with guests. I was impressed with his nice attitude towards us.

No refresh of water or hot drinks facility. No fresh towels despite them been left for changing. Complimentary drink voucher had been activated by someone at 5:30am whilst the bar was closed and the staff did not believe at first it wants until I pointed out they were closed. Breakfast was good but staff appear lost and no offering of hot drinks from the staff. Overall not the experience you would expect from the Mercure.
