Desagradable. Cuando llegamos el personal de Recepcion fue malísimo y tardaron más de 45 mins en subir las maletas a la habitación. Tuvo que llamar la agencia de viajes al hotel para exigir que nos subiesen las maletas a la habitación porque en recepción se negaban a cogernos el teléfono. Para rematar tan pésima experiencia nos pusieron en una habitación cuya última remodelación data de 200 años atrás como mínimo y con un ventilador de enchufe para hacer las funciones de aire acondicionado

Dear Carlos, Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your experience at the Grosvenor Hotel Adelaide. I will certainly be speaking to our Front Office Manager in regards to the level of service the front desk team have demonstrated, I am a little surprised as for a considerable amount of time, the hotel’s greatest strength has been the staff given the general average condition of the hotel for which we are unable to deny. It is not being of a standard we would like to be recognised for, please be assured your comments will be investigated for the staff involved. Please accept my sincere apologies for the decline in the hotel’s standards. To help understand while hoping to add clarity to the situation of the hotel, the hotel was sold in 2018 and where it was the intention of the new owner to close and redevelop the hotel in 2021 but with the impact covid has had on the building industry this has been delayed until the end of this year. Recognising the condition of the hotel was not meeting the minimum brand standards of a Mercure and Ibis hotel and although still managed by Accor, at the beginning of 2021 a conscious decision was made to close the Ibis section while also removing the Mercure brand to then reposition it as an economy style offering thus return the hotel to its original name the Grosvenor Hotel Adelaide. There is certainly no denial that the hotel does require a complete redevelopment. I am sorry that on this occasion we did not meet full expectations, but I assure you the areas of concern you have raised will be follow-up by our hotel management. We were saddened to read that your room and the hotel was not up to expectations as while we are unable to deny the general condition of the room and hotel given its age, the hotel conducted a de-branding exercise in 2021 by removing the Mercure brand and returning the hotel to its original name the Grosvenor Hotel Adelaide to enable us to reposition it as an economy hotel in the twilight of its existence as the intention is to completely redevelop the property in the not-too-distant future. El hotel está antiguo. La habitación no estaba muy limpia, tenía una telaraña bastante grande entre la ventana y las cortinas. Faltaba Gel en el baño, no nos pusieron. La mevera hace mucho ruido. El aire acondicionado es antiguo y también hace ruido. Es molesto. Por suerte, solo pase una noche en este hotel. Si tengo que estar reportando y dando mi queja en recepcion por todo, se me va el día en ir mostrando quejas. Por lo que decidí aguantarme e irme a conocer la ciudad. Tampoco debo perder mi tiempo en reportar cada cosa que deberia estar correcto, para eso tendran personal que se encarguexde supervisar. No me gusto nada este hotel.

Habitaciones algo antiguas. Sin aire ni calefacción. Tiene un sistema de aire que no funcionaba bien. Ni frío ni calor. A poco tiempo del centro andando. El desayuno no probamos. Fueron amables u nos guardaron un día entero las maletas para ir al kangaroo island

Voy a usar el mismo título que otra persona porque es lo que más se ajusta a la realidad. Nosotros hemos pasado dos noches y en ese tiempo solamente hemos estado en el hotel para ducharnos y dormir. La habitación daba a un patio interior y no era muy amplia, pero estaba bien limpia y sin ruidos. Dormir que es lo que teníamos que hacer lo hicimos bien. El baño estaba reformado así que genial y tenía un buen secador de pelo, lo malo es que la ventilación del techo hacia bastante ruido. En mi caso el wifi no lo necesitaba de manera imperiosa pero la verdad es que no iba muy bien.
