Great stay at Sofitel Brussels Europe for my one stay stopover, after a long bus travel. Friendly and professional staff guide you through check-in and it makes me very happy and more comfortable that they offer early check-in. Room is very comfortable for a good rest. Will sure back back again for my future travels in Belgium as Brussels as start point in combination stay at Sofitel.

I spent at Sofitel Brussels Europe 3 nights for a long Autumn weekend in October, from Friday night until Monday afternoon, at this very nice and very conveniently-located Sofitel Brussels Europe, after a previous and also very nice stay at the same Sofitel in June, just before the Summer. I enjoyed a delightful and pleasant stay, with a very friendly and helpful staff and doing their best to make sure I could enjoy a wonderful stay. I could really relax, and visit the City of Brussels and the different areas, easy to reach, while also enjoying the great Leopold Park and the amazing museums (such as House of European History) in the immediate vicinity of the Hotel, and also use their nice and well-equipped gym (they also have contact with a very good personal trainer (M. Raphaël Miocev) who had previously coached me there, and whom I would recommend, should you need there access to a good fitness instructor in the hotel's gym. The Hotel also has a Spa with a contact with a good professional, although I did not try her for massages etc. I really had a very good and very relaxing trip to Brussels, thanks to the nice, friendly and always caring staff of Sofitel Brussels Europe. They also offer an amazing breakfast buffet with some very caring and very friendly staff, such as Mr. Jimmy, Ms. Adina, Ms. Liliana, and Ms. Tina preparing the various varieties of eggs. I also enjoyed a very nice Autumn dinner at the 1040 Brasserie Restaurant with some nice and helpful staff. My room had a very pleasant view overlooking Leopold Park. I really had a very enjoyable stay there at Sofitel Brussels Europe, and shall definitely and soon come back and stay in this hotel.

Outstanding hotel with terrific location. Exceptional breakfast, good weight room, large (by European standards) rooms, very convenient to several parks and museums, as well as Place Jordan, which has many restaurants & Sunday markets. Great views from 7th floor bar, 1 block to Leopold Park, 2 blocks to History of Europe museum, many European buildings immediately next door or 1-2 blocks away Friendly, helpful staff

As always excellent, welcoming and caring service. Easy upon arrival. Never any problems. My early arrival was handled with utmost professionalism and a room was found. Well kept and flawlessly cleaned rooms. A very nice bar a a bonus. Will definitely come back.

As Good As Other Sofitel Hotels!

In my recent trip to Brussels, I stayed in the Sofitel Brussels Europe. In terms of its location. It's clearly positioned as a business hotel, it’s just a 10-minute drive from Brussels-Midi train station and a few minutes' walk to the Schuman metro station. The biggest selling point, however, is its proximity to several EU landmarks like the European Commission and the European Parliament. Having stayed at six different Sofitel hotels around the world, I can tell you that the moment you step into the lobby, you won’t be mistaken as another hotel brand, as all Sofitel hotels are either chic and elegant like the one in Singapore, or chic and playful like its So sub-brand. This one manages to adopt both, with a bit of a boutique feel and not over the top like its So-series hotels, at least there won’t be portraits of ancient people in your bedroom. Speaking of the room. originally I have booked its standard room, but I was upgraded to a Junior Suite. While it wasn't as big as the one that I stayed in Singapore three years ago, it is absolutely spacious. Both rooms have smart TVs. Whether it’s the decoration, its vibe and ambience, and layout are all screaming Sofitel, especially the lighting and its furniture, and this kind of opulence is exactly why I am so fond of the brand. Another one that worth mentioning is the double bed. It had a feature I've rarely seen in other hotels: a padding layer inside the mattress. With some other hotel beds, it was so soft that sometimes you don’t feel enough support for your body. Not for this one, as the padding has provided extra support while still feeling incredibly plush. The bathroom was also classic Sofitel style. The toiletries were from Balmain, which is used in every Sofitel hotel. I was also happy to see that dental kit is included, as nowadays most hotels wouldn’t provide such amenities until you ask for it. There was both a walk-in shower and a bathtub. My only minor complaint would be the so-called "smart" lighting. It automatically dims when you're not standing in front of the sink, and it's frustrating when it suddenly goes dark while you're in the middle of showering. Worse still, it won't automatically turn back on when you step out of the shower area, and as a result, you have to walk to the door to turn on the lights. And as I don’t want to risk switching on the lights while soaking wet, I just ended up fumbling around in the dark to finish my shower. As for hotel amenities, it does not have a swimming pool. There is a gym though, and is quite well equipped for its relatively compact size. However, the piece of equipment I wanted to use the most, which is a multipurpose weight training machine —was out of order. Also don’t expect this small gym to have large equipment like smith machines. They do have treadmills and free weights though, good enough for serious trainers. For food, I have paid extra for the breakfast, but it was buffet-only with no à la carte options. The selection wasn't huge, but the quality was decent. That said, there are several western restaurants nearby that served quite decent breakfast, and hence I would suggest that you try them instead. As for dinner, I found the quality to be standard Sofitel. The soup, for example, definitely had a five-star hotel quality. And the risotto's ingredients, taste, and overall presentation were all up to par. However, as a foodie, I do expect more for a five star hotel, as they lack the "wow" factor like the dinner that I had at the W Barcelona. Especially at €50 plus, my expectations are naturally higher. Overall, whether it’s the quality of the room, the service, and the location, the Sofitel Brussels Europe did not disappoint. Its daily rate €300 per night is also typical for the Sofitel brand.
