The hotel strikes a perfect balance between business functionality and comfortable accommodation. The modern architecture and thoughtful design elements create an inviting atmosphere right from the lobby. The hotel maintains the typical quality standards while offering competitive pricing for its category. Being part of the Accor group, you can expect consistent international standards, which they definitely deliver here. LOCATION:The location is one of the hotel's strongest assets. Situated in the upscale Lourdes neighborhood, it's surrounded by excellent restaurants and shopping options. The Savassi area is within walking distance, and you're just minutes away from major business centers. DINE + DRINK:The restaurant serves a decent breakfast buffet with both local Brazilian and international options. The lobby bar is comfortable for evening drinks, though the menu is somewhat limited. F ROOM: We stayed in Room 518, so this review is based on that; SIZE: Spacious enough for 2 adults and simple baggage; VIEW: Random view of the cityscape; AIR-CON: Perfectly functioning cooler that helped in setting the perfect room temperature; BED: Comfortable bed that played the expected part of putting us to sleep; BATHROOM:Good sized bathroom with a Stand-in shower; TOILETRIES: Excellent SPA quality toiletries by PHYTOERVAS brand! FACILITIES: Decent Gym with a good range of weights and Cardio machines for a full on workout. They also have a tiny little swimming pool. SERVICE: Friendly staff that cared for all our needs with a smile and made us feel at home and well taken care of. HOW WIRED YOU WILL BE: Free Wi-Fi that works well all over the property, and the speed is good! Medium sized TV dishing out a wide variety of channels spanning sports, news, music, movies, and entertainment primarily in PORTUGUESE!

I had a fantastic experience at Mercure Lourdes from the very start. Márcio was incredibly informative about upgrade options, breakfast details, and parking, making check-in a breeze. The room was very comfortable, and I had a really nice stay overall. To my surprise, the manager Breno came to check on my stay and even gave me a handwritten welcoming note and a gift. The team at Mercure Lourdes is truly kind and attentive. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Staff is rude, hotel is packed, loud and outdated

We stayed for almost ten long days in this hotel, where beds are uncomfortable and the elevators are always packed. The front desk staff is rude and will show you an attitude anytime you stop by to ask for help. During the checkout, they tried to charge us for breakfast on a day that we were actually in another city in Brazil. I had to show them the boarding passes to prove that we could not eat in the hotel because we were not in Belo Horizonte that day. They have a huge conference center that is always booked. Good luck trying to get a cab in front of the hotel. You will have to find space between the buses parked in front of the front entrance. Additionally, this hotel is on a hectic road, and the windows are not noise-canceling. Therefore, the rooms are very noisy. There is a Japanese restaurant on the premise where the service is equally lame, and the food sucks. We did not pass the appetizer because the waiter brought us the wrong beer and refused to take it back, and the tempura was disgusting. The manager is too lazy to fix that mess because they get enough money with the conferences. We are not coming back for sure!!

I was on a weekend visit to BH and I loved staying at Mercure Lourdes hotel. It is an excellent facility in great area of the city, walking distance from cool restaurants and bars, in proximity to tourist attractions and with great service. Rooms from the top floors offer beautiful views of the city.
