All in all a good stay

We had 4 executive rooms at this 3 star hotel with pool. We stayed in September 2021. The receptionists were efficient & friendly despite being very busy. They even managed to get us a large multi-seated taxis at short notice. The rooms were fine. There was plenty of teas milk & coffee capsules even a small biscuit. The toilet being separate from the bathroom speeded up getting ready & the sanitiser on the wall stopped any transference of germs on door handles. The pool area needed a separate key card from reception & there was a slight delay in getting these & the pool towels as the receptionists were all busy still with check ins. The pool area was clean and warm, the sauna was working & on. The pool water temperature was nice & warm too. Breakfast was well arranged & had all the usual foods you’d expect at a perfectly adequate standard for a 3 star hotel. The evening bar staff were friendly & accommodating with our large party and it is the same area as the breakfast area. I had prepaid so check out was simple & painless. All in all a good stay.

Never Again! Hotel full of Asylum Seekers! Avoid Avoid Avoid

Appalling way of treating loyal customers assuming we would be happy sharing Hotel with Asylum Seekers, A long term booking to see our Daughter who had just given birth to our first Grandchild and at no point were we advised the Hotel would be full of Asylum Seekers! Upon arrival we noticed the Hotel had 3 security guards as we entered we realised why, Refugees and children everywhere!. The Lobby stank of Body Odour, could not get to receptionist x3 who were all dealing with the refugee's unreasonable demands! when we did try and check in we were rudely interrupted by yes you have guessed it Refugee's. Luckily we only used the Hotel to sleep in! I have nothing against Asylum Seekers but if they are homed here it should be exclusively and not be open to the public! Had I known. been advised I would have cancelled and booked elsewhere!

The guy who checked us in had only been there the week, and he was senior to the bar staff who were new that day. Everything seemed too difficult as the team just weren’t organised. The order for the dinner that our group pre-booked 4 days previously didn’t make it, so we had to re-order. Half an hour after that we were told that there was no lasagna, so many people had to choose something else. Then, half an hour later still, we were told that there was only one Margarita pizza, so some people had to change their orders for a second time. The first food arrived after about an hour and a half which was soggy and cold garlic bread, there were no chips, so sweet potato fries were substituted (I quite like them, but most of the group did not). Our room, that we thought was just a bit fausty, turned out to have a leak and most of the floor was sodden. Luckily we were able to change rooms. All up, not a great experience, despite a team who were clearly trying hard. Thankfully the company was excellent and made the event more than bearable.

Toilets have not been cleaned, carpet is dirty, floors in all hotel are sticky, breakfast is not tasty and very poor. Staff is frindly but not efficient. It is clarly not at 4 starts level hotel. I did not tested the swimming pool as I did not trusted the hygene.

Stayed at the Novotel Milton Keynes over the August B/H weekend for MotoGP at Silverstone. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was good at breakfast and evening dinner. Rooms were clean and in good condition. Nice swim in the pool after a long day was also very welcome. Have stayed here several times and would stay here again

I went to stay in the Novotel to meet a friend. It is an annual meet up but was interrupted last year by the pandemic. As always the staff were very welcoming and helpful, and the rooms are spacious and clean. The breakfasts were ok but I had mine in my room as I am seriously disabled, and although they were late each day due to lack of staff the food was good. I did notice this time that they were more short staffed than before but they did everything possible to make the stay as good as possible. Due to Covid at the moment they are not cleaning the rooms every day so you jjst need to remember to ask for extra tea, coffee and milk etc or extra towels. The only negative experience was with housekeeping right at the end of our stay as we were getting ready to leave who barged into the room of my friend while she was in the middle of a phone call and was very rude to her, telling her she had to leave NOW! The member of staff then proceeeded to start moving some of my friend’s personal belongings including a £6000 violin and dumped them on the bed…We tried to explain (we were in adjoining rooms) that we had been allowed an extra hour for checkout as I am disabled, and that my friend was about to go and get a trolley to help me with my things, but this lady was not interested and continued to be extremely rude, ignoring both of us. My friend then moved her stuff into my room and the lady then wanted to come into my room, but I flatly refused and again explained I was disabled and we were in the process of leaving but I am on a mobility scooter and cannot manage my luggage myself, and I shut the door on her. We complained to reception who were very apologetic and took off the cost of the breakfasts and a big bottle of water I had had. However, inspite of this incident I would highly recommend this hotel and staff as being of a really good over standard and as we have been there many times before we have never had a problem until now, always enjoying our stays there.

Diana who works at your front desk was very kind and helpful to us. She is patient with my active son and took time to listen to our questions and answered them patiently. The lady (from housekeeping) who helped turning the sofa into a sofa bed for us was very quick and efficient too although it was her time to get off work. She was kind and friendly to my son too.

Worst hotel ever been

Customer Service was absolutely worst i have experienced .hotel itself bit dirty room smells dumb Food no no no do not take food from restaurant at hotel you order something you get something else as substitute without asking twice happened to us didn’t ask us. I got food poisoning 24 hrs i was inside my room my fish was very under cooked. The only positive pool indoor. Reception bit smile will be much better customer service Moody most of the time not all of them Regret all the way to stay there communication between staff null very disappointed

Was not a great stay with multiple hiccups: given keys that don’t work, then given keys that work and one of the 2 rooms booked was occupied. Told over the phone that my swimming session booking was valid but then on arrival told it was not valid. Then told it is valid and that the pool has capacity for 13. There was 11 in there already so don’t understand how adding 5 more would be complying to social distancing rules. This resulted in a confrontation between guests, the other guest going to complain to reception who comes over and accuses us of being rude to another guest without hearing both sides of a story. One of our showers was not working And this was never resolved and the level of moisture in the room was so high it felt like we were in a steam room. Staff were clearly overwhelmed and Clearly weren’t support well.

Received a nice welcome at check-in and, having acknowledged my Platinum membership, I was a little disappointed that I was not offered a room upgrade. I stayed 2 nights on a Saturday and Sunday. Sunday morning breakfast was very busy with families and children, some obviously just finished having a swim. Went for a swim late Saturday evening, hoping it would be quieter, but still busy with families and private swimming lessons. I asked if there was any chance of a room upgrade for my second night and reception was very helpful and managed to find one. The executive room has a fridge, complimentary bottled water, coffee maker, Bluetooth speaker and extra toiletries which the standard room does not have. Monday morning breakfast was much more peaceful with only a few tables occupied. There was a good array of cereals, bread, juice, fruit, cold meats and typical cooked breakfast selection. Parking was free as long as you register at reception.

Unimpressed. Cheap for a reason.

When we arrived at around 5pm we were given a key card for our room. We also told that there was a waiting list on the pool and the wait would be 1hour - 90mins. Fine I said. We'll call you they said. On arrival at the room, the keycard did not work so I had to leave my family to go back to the reception. The receptionist came up with me and kindly sorted it out. On entrance to our room we found that it had not been set up for 2 adults and two young children. There were no pillows or duvet for the sofabed so I had to ring reception to sort this out. A man from housekeeping arrived 10 minutes later and rather grumpily took a look and had to go outside ring his supervisor. He came back and sorted it out. Fine. After 75 minutes we still hadn't had a call a out swimming so I tried ringing them myself. Frustrated I went downstairs with my 9 year old daughter and asked how long it would be? She went to look at the list and asked her colleague and I could tell from her body language and facial expressions that we had clearly been forgotten. She didn't admit this and said it would a while longer..."how long?" I asked. "Depends how long other people are" she said. That's not "good enough" I said. A young boy came up beside me, gave his room number and in answer to the same question was told "40 minutes". When I trudged upstairs with a very disappointed child the phone magically rang five minutes later..."The pool is free". Hallelujah! We went swimming and that was fine. I'd promised the girls some lovely hot chocolate in our room only to find we had two mugs between four people.....Never again.

In School holidays time we have to have a waiting list for the pool as we can not have many people on the pool together for health and safety hope you understand that. Dissapointing service

The hotel and facilities are OK. The breakfast is usually very poor quality so I no longer include it in my booking. On this trip the room and facilities were fine however the staff were not living up to the normally high standards for an Accor Hotel. Bar man was exceptionally rude and confrontational when I presented his with my free drink voucher which he refused to accept. It is dated on your day of arrival but can be used at any time during your stay. As I was staying 2 nights and wanted to use it on my second night he refused to accept it , made we walk over to reception and get them to change the date on it - and with real attitude as well. With regards to check out I am still waiting for my email invoice so again I will have to waste my time chasing this. I have been using this hotel for years and this is the first time I really noticed the quality of the staff was poor

Great value hotel. Good for dog owners.

This is a great value hotel and is situated just over the road from one of Milton Keynes woods which makes it ideal for dog owners. Rooms were clean and well equipped. Downsides were the TV didn't have any signal and the room was too warm with no AC. Breakfast was excellent, well stocked and regularly refreshed. It also has a leisure pool which we didn't use but lots of other families did. Will definitely stay again when down this way.

very lovely location and i love the atmosphere. swimming pool and steam room(although the steam room is small). The breakfast is a bit slow as we have to wait for bread etc and they need a bigger space for breakfast.I will go back again

Good hotel but bad customer service

I have always stayed at this hotel but on this occasion I met a rude receptionist who did not care if I was a member of the accor or their regular customer. But finally I was served by a different receptionist who was nice. Please Novotel train your people how to speak to customers, specially frequent lodgers.

Alfredo and his team go that little bit further to make you feel part of the team. The staff are like friends rather than hotel employees nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are clean, beds are comfortable and food is great. Strongly recommend staying here if you're in the area.

The staff are brilliant! The premises are lovely and are only outdone by the staff that keep it that way Excellent soundproofing. The air-con in one room was a bit wheezy, but you cold only hear that because of the silence, the other room was fine.

Smelly loo

A tired old place, ruffled carpets, chipped corners and the worst was the smelly loo. So nice to be treated to a lovely drain smell everytime I came back to the room (plumber by trade so could see where the leak was coming from room above) went quickly when you opened window. Did not complain as so tired after my course and homework could not be bothered. Was also interesting watching the bar and restaurant staff bickering at each other as to who did what, in fact they did as little as possible. Was not a cheap stay and hopefully will never have to go again. Breakfast and breakfast staff only positives. Long dark walk into town from here, car required. Very noisy fan heater and hard pillows. Yep completely negative.

our stay at milton keynes was very nice, our meal in the restaurant with invited guests went without any problems and the meal was enjoyed by all in a pleasant atmosphere without loud music plying so that we were able to hold audible conversations without shouting. replenishing tea and milk when asked for in the room was done upon request.
