We’ve stayed at a lot of Ibis hotels and this one was probably one of the most disappointing. It really needs refurbishing. The furniture in the rooms is old and damaged and the bar area was similarly ‘tired’. Also breakfast wasn’t up to the usual Ibis standard with less choice and some of the cooked food dry. However the staff were really pleasant and helpful

Great place with free parking, right on the Services. Toby Carvery is a 3 minute walk away, although not a great walk as no footpath. Hotel had a £1 pool table which was good which is card only in the bar. Room alot bigger than other Ibis I've stayed in before. Would stay again if in the area, short drive into Cardiff.

The staffs went beyond to help me as I was lost on the way to walking to the hotel and one of the staffs came all the way to take me to the hotel. He mention some time it’s happen to foreigners and they try the level best to help them. The check in was smooth and they were chatty during the checkin and offered me a coffee while they check in. During the evening I came for dinner as I don’t know the places didn’t want to go out but the staffs were on duty looked after well. Special thanks to Romes and Jez for exceptional help during my stay. Will come back again for the next event.

Booked with a friend for one night. Staff very welcoming when checking in. Hotel is modern, clean and quiet. Unfortunately, the Staff we encountered during our stay were not as lovely as the hotel! When getting ready for our evening, our door was knocked and a male Staff member aggressively tried to enter our room while changing. Once covered we allowed him in, where he barged in and accused us of smoking in the room?! Apparently our smoke detector was flashing on their fire panel, and so this was obvious that we were smoking (which we of course weren't!). He appeared to search our room, and was taking multiple phone calls while stood in the centre of the room! He eventually left, saying he would probably be back in 5 minutes. He didn't return, and a short while later we went outside for a cigarette (as we had each time we wanted one), and I asked said man if the problem had been sorted, to which he rudely replied "No. Its still beeping." His tone was aggressive, short and just overall very unwelcoming. We also encountered another rude staff member when returning from our evening out, and when I mentioned submitting a complaint, he couldn't have cared less and told me to go ahead! Overall, hotel is clean, beds are comfortable, unfortunately no bath in room. Staff are rude and unwelcoming, we wouldn't recommend and won't be returning.

It sounds like there were some lapses in professionalism and customer service during your stay and I can assure you those staffs will be re train on the guest service activities in order to avoid any incident in the future. I did investigated the your comments in regard to the fire system I did saw that the was giving warning to check your room in order ensure of your safety and 200 other guest’s safety we will have to check by law and take action immediately the staff was trying to do the exercise as it been told nevertheless we will be focusing guest service trainings. Your feedback is valuable and can hopefully prompt improvements in staff training and management. The dinner saved was disgusting, tasteless and low quality. The team is not cared about the customers feelings - all have one sentence only to tell, will inform the manager. Then what !!!. I am just wondering if they dont have a good chef or the items ordered, why are they accepting the order and taking money.. Dessert looks like an experiment done by a kid while trying to learn cooking, which I received instead of carrot halwa. Charging 19 pound, even not worth for 5 pound..
