We stayed at this hotel for 1 night, first of all Dinant is a beautiful little city so it is well worth visiting. The hotel itself was really good value our room was clean and comfortable with a great view of the River Meuse. The bar with terrace overlooking the balcony was also excellent and all of the staff were friendly and helpful.

I have stayed at this hotel several times. I like that you can choose a view of the Meuse (river) when you book. The room was very comfortable and the breakfast was excellent. The staff are very friendly. The bar had a good choice of drinks available, and there is a terrace bar where you can sit outside.

Booking cancelled by hotel without any reason

This hotel cancelled our group booking 10 days before we were due to arrive in June 2024. They initially gave no reason for cancelling but then stated it was due to failure to pay however the 5 rooms had been reserved using a credit card so this was not the case. Their terms say if they have to cancel a booking they will do what they can to arrange the booking elsewhere. They did nothing. We were then forced to book a different hotel in an entirely different city at greater cost due to it being last minute instead of the 9 months notice this hotel had. Disgraceful way to treat customers.

Quite pricy for what you get - might have given it 4 stars if it had been cheaper

We have just spent 5 nights in north & east France in 5 different hotels, all of ‘apparently’ similar quality and the comparison has been quite interesting. Of the 5, two were Ibis Hotels charging considerably more than the Campanile chain, but you do get a larger room for the money. However regarding facilities they’re probably not much different and the extra £35 a night wasn’t worth it. In this hotel we were assigned a comfortable room with a river view and it was nice watching boats passing by. It was an ideal location, close to the town and restaurants. There was a good bathroom with hair dryer but only very thin raggy towels. Also there was very difficult positioning of dispensers in shower (think about short people!!), making them very difficult to use. Disappointingly there was no kettle/ tea/coffee making facility. Overnight it was very quiet, despite the neighbouring casino and trains opposite - good double glazing!! However the a/c was very ineffective, making it very hot overnight and it wasn’t particularly warm weather! The memory foam topper didn’t help either - far too hot & squidgy for our liking. Breakfast was good including a small selection of hot food but it was slightly disorganised in its layout - many people walking to/fro looking for things!

The manager at the reception At night time, who looked like Asian i, was arrogant , on top not friendly at all , when I was asking for the budget room, which any other ibis hotel offers, like the one not to far away in Givet . He even said to me to go somewhere else. I mean come on now. This guy should be fired Immediately. I felt threatened. this was the first time I went to that ibis hotel , in the city of Dinant . Never again. On top When I left my preview. About what happened to me on Google. The same guy answers me. I mean come on now , Guys if you're in Dinant , and need one hotel room, please do not go to that IBIS Hotel in Dinant . Just drive to the next IBIS Hotel in Givet, where you can check in for 50 €, instead 145 € , on top The hotel stuff is very friendly ,and breakfast free included. Compare the one in Dinant. And you don't over pay, a 100 € more .
