A Busy Hotel

This is a busy hotel. The room is outdated and the bathroom is old-fashioned. The indoor swimming pool is very cold because the surrounding air conditioning is colder than the cold air outside. Location is very good, walking distance 1.1 km to the Forbidden City. Walking is a must because taxi / Didi move slower than you walk in this area. The streets are so congested and very crowded. Traffic is always jammed. There are very good restaurants serving the most delicious Peking roasted duck. Walk to Hutongs and Wangfujing just nearby. Breakfast is satisfying and delicious.

My stay was delightful. The hotel's location is superb, offering convenient access to a variety of dining options and shopping malls. Furthermore, the manager, Blair, delivered exceptional service with professionalism and warmth, making every guest feel valued and attended to. I would definitely recommend this hotel to my friends and family; staying here in Beijing is truly a great choice.

Other than good location, the hotel is not upto my expectation as compared to my stay at other countries of the same hotel chain. Do not have good impression once entered into the room as the main entrance door seem to be broke in before. Room lighting is dimmed. However, if the hotel is refurbish, I will consider to book again.

Based on the reviews and also being a member of ALL - Accor group, I booked this hotel for 4 night stay from 5th to 9th of Dec 2024 for its locational advantage. I booked in a Premier Suite with King-size Bed. My self and my wife (both senior citizens) were shocked as we just checked in, the security of the hotel, a lady brought two police men into our room to check our luggage's. It was terrible experience and shocking. I regret for having booked this hotel. The property is pretty old with very old furnitures. The bath fixtures was in a pathetic shape and old and to our surprise, the house keeping was very bad. My subsequent stay at Shanghai for 5 days was wonderful.
