Choose elsewhere to stay. It may look cheap but in the end it really isn't worth it.

Ibis budget Angouleme is very poor quality. And when include price of parking nearby, becomes expensive. Rm 306. Room functional BUT black mold in shower room on tile grout and ceiling. Room not very clean, floor especially. No plug in basin. Shower room smells of urine all time. Extractor fan broken . Poor lighting - 2 bulbs out of 3 were deliberately unscrewed making room v dark. Everything peeling especially signage. Breakfast fair but coffee awful . The lass attending breakfast worked hard. Location convenient to walk to historic centre. There's cheap and there's taking the piss. Plainly a franchise run poorly and gives Ibis a very bad name.

We needed a hotel close to the station for an early morning TGV to Paris. Though basic this is a hotel that does the job. Clean, good reception and very close to the Champ de Mars parking which offer great value secure parking. Overall, does what it says on the tin but we'd stay elsewhere had it not for our specific needs of being close to the station.

Horrific smell - not recommended.

This hotel was terrible - the corridor and room both smelled horrific. The smell in the corridor was enough to make your eyes water. In the room the smell was like sweat, sewerage and garlic - we had to have to window wide open in order to sleep through it. Provided with only one towel for two people. Coffee machine kept breaking at breakfast. Thankfully we were only there for one night! Not recommended at all.

The room was a good size had air con that worked inermittently. The hotel needed a facelift and it was difficult to park anywhere. room had cobwebs because the cleaning was not very good. Breakfast was good not a huge choice but plenty of it and good coffee

Stayed for one night. When I entered the room the window was open, later I understood why: with the window closed a smell of sewage emanated from the bathroom. Kept the bathroom door closed and that solved the problem, bathroom looked clean, shower stall looked old and not well maintained, didn't use it. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I had included breakfast and that was worthwhile to have. Compared to other Ibis budget hotels this didn't quite make the grade. Ok for one night and close to the station.
