The hotel rooms very good having been recently renovated. Good location. Good breakfast. A shame that we didn’t know the restaurant would be closed, we were able to have pizza delivered and use the restaurant tables. Helpful staff. Tired reception and bare area but clean.

We stayed at this Ibis hotel for a single night en route to Alsace. It's very conveniently situated, right next to the Autoroute - but despite the proximity to the road we didn't find it at all noisy. There's a slight downside in that in order to get from the hotel to the medieval city of Laon, which stands on the top of a hill, you have to take your car; it's a very steep and long climb, which is too much to do on foot. We stayed on a Friday night; the hotel wasn't at all busy - we suspect it may be busier during the working week. Parking is plentiful. Our room was quite small but perfectly satisfactory for an overnight stay; however, the shower room was quite cramped. Due to the need to drive into Laon itself we decided to eat in the restaurant at the hotel and we were very pleased with our meal of sea bass fillet, which was beautifully cooked; the portions were generous. The hotel staff were very pleasant and helpful.

Have been in many Ibis Hotels as part of Accor Group but this is tops. 5 star for staff. Friendly and full of enthusiasm. Personally a great relief to find this attitude within France. So often you Re the voyageur with a miserable attitude to staff that the reverse comes about. All credit to Ibis Lao

We stayed for one night and had a room on the second floor. The room was newly decorated, modern with a spacious bathroom and all very clean. Comfy bed as well! The hotel allows dogs which is a bonus for us. The hotel also has disabled rooms and a lift. The only downside was the restaurant wasn't open as we stayed on a Sunday night, but a short drive away were other restaurants. We would definitely recommend and stay again.

We had a one night stop over at the Ibis Laon France travelling on a 12 day coach holiday with leger, this was our last stop over hotel we arrived late and the bar and restaurant had closed at 9pm the young lady on the desk was very apologetic a few of us just sat around chatting in the foyer then made our way to our rooms which were very comfortable and clean, good nights sleep, we had a very nice buffet breakfast, enjoyed my stay.
