We had a fabulous few days visiting Nantes and setting at this hotel. It is perfectly located to explore all parts of the city, surrounded by landmarks, historical sites, shops and plenty of great restaurants and amazing bakeries and ice cream shops! We walked absolutely everywhere, it’s an extremely walkable city and the hotel is at the centre of it. The hotel is surrounded by pedestrian streets and squares. We had a classic room which we found very very comfortable. I loved being able to open the windows, for me this is always a big plus when staying in hotels. The room had a little cooler fridge which really enhanced our seat and basic tea (herbal) and coffee. The bathroom and toilet were separate which was great, shower had good pressure and was hot! The only thing to note in this room type is that there is no body lotion or hair conditioner so bring your own if you need these. The mattress was very comfortable although I did struggle with the pillows - too soft for me but this is personal preference! Being city centre you will obviously get street noise especially at night with hotel the being close to such great facilities! We had dinner and breakfast once in the hotel! Dinner was very enjoyable and the local cider delicious. Breakfast is excellent with some great local choices which is always great to see,and some lovely tea options from a local tea shop! Every staff member we encountered was so friendly and helpful, a special mention to David, Valentine and Camille, who helped make our stay so enjoyable! Thank you all for a great stay in a wonderful city!

An enjoyable stay in Nantes. The room was fine with a comfortable bed - but the bathroom was very small and might be tricky to navigate if you are a larger person. The location is excellent, close to the tram network and local bars and restaurants. The staff were helpful and informative. The bar was okay but we didn’t use the restaurant so can’t comment. All in all very good.

Arrived to be told the restaurant was open for breakfast only but they could recommend places for other meals. Bar would be open as standard. Room was as advertised but the room drinks fridge (empty) was turned off. One bottle of water was in the room. Tea and coffee making facilities were odd, good selection of teas but they really push the decaf coffee. Bathroom is separate to the toilet which is actually useful. Biggest moan was paper cups which are waterproof for about 60 mins so no chance of a glass of water bedside. I borrowed a glass from the bar…

Mercure is in a great location inside the pedestrian area in Nantes. It’s very close to everything including bars / restaurants / sights and shops. Rooms are functional and small and have separate toilet and shower / sink room. Staff very friendly. Good parking under hotel. Nice bar.

Mercure hotels are almost always comfortable and convenient for business and leisure. This hotel was centrally located, the rooms and especially the beds were very comfortable. Bathrobes and bath slippers were present in the room. This hotel chain refrains from using plastic so they use glass and paper as cups, bottles etc. The dining room was rather small and the dinner ( our stay was half board) was average but the variety and quality at breakfast was good. There was also a variety of teas ( not teabags) so you could prepare your own tea. I would recommend this hotel.
