Unfortunately we found this hotel poor value for money. On the plus side, the room was very quiet, wonderful. Below par for us was the fact that there was no wifi, the water temperature in the shower changing to scalding hot and back to the original temperature several times when taking a shower, burning my arm on the scalding hot shower faucet, the bathroom sink being plugged with no sign how the unplug it, and the room decor that came across as old, tired and seriously outdated. We know Accor can do better and recommend their Greet hotel in Bourg en Bresse: fresh, pleasant, functional and 35% lower in price.

The night before we were due to stay in this hotel, we were cancelled, supposedly as a result of Covid restrictions. I asked for a refund or assistance in getting an alternative booking, button help was forthcoming. Other hotels (including Ibis hotels) were still open for business, so no idea why we were cancelled. But it is unacceptable behaviour.

Fraud: Don't book this hotel ! They cash in your money but are actually closed !

We've received a confirmation email of our booking, but when we arrived there in the evening the whole place was pitch-dark, including the parking, and our efforts to get into the hotel received no response. I've also tried to call them again and again, and never got anyone on the phone. Nor would they respond to my emails. It's shocking they cashed in the complete amout of our booking, and it's difficult to get it back now. How can I get refunded?

Useful stopover en route to the French Alps, it is on the opposite side of the A40 at Jasseron on the outskirts of Bourg en Bresse. You just circle back at the next exit and it is only a couple of kilometres up the autoroute. The family rooms with a double bed and 2 single beds is really useful for a family of 4 and the sound proofing keeps out the road noise effectively. The food and service in the co-located restaurant is fine and the hotel breakfast in the breakfast area adjacent the entrance is a good start to the day.

Friendly & helpful receptionist. Room adequate. Breakfast was the best we experienced in the 6 Ibis hotels we stayed in this summer. The food was beautifully presented and a good selection of meat & cheese. All the food was arranged on a bed of ice. My gluten free bread was brought with Madeleines and grapes arranged on plate. This was much appreciated.. Courte Paille restaurant was attached, where we enjoyed our evening meal.
