We stayed in late April, the resort is very family friendly and we felt right at home with many other families with young children. Great activities for the kids including games and fish feeding which the kids loved. The food and bar were also very nice. The hotel room itself is very dated and needs a refurbishment

Don't bother staying here without a good deal or you will feel ripped off. We were on a 'Luxury Escapes' package. Tired rooms in need of a renovation. The whole resort in fact needs a good once over. They clearly don't clean under the beds as I was doing some stretches on the very worn carpet and noticed several lost toys under the bed. Wouldn't recommend the sofa bed for anyone but small children. It's a great location. Swim in the pool, sail on the lagoon, or stroll around the lagoon. Close to beach. But the main downside is the poor service. Check-in person didn't make any effort - just shoved me the room key and vouchers. Didn't bother explaining about the inclusions or the activities or amenities. The bar person was best described as insolent. Wouldn't let me charge a drink to my room (so I didn't get to use the supposed credit for not having my room serviced - so that was useless). When I wanted to use the drink voucher, made it seem like I was a nuisance - and it only covers what is on tap anyway. Questioned every morning about whether the kids were part of the included breakfast. Then the waitstaff was clearing away dishes, dropped the dirty fork onto the chair, mumbled a Sorry and walked away - pretty sure anywhere else with decent staff would have made some effort to clean it up.

This Hotel does not meet any standard for any type of Accor property we have ever been in. All Staff did their best under difficult circumstances. Is Accor managing this huge Accor Vacation Club property ?for them?and so doesnt want to spend anything on it? As all reviewers on this site say the location is fabulous with current enormous unachieved potential due to rundown accomodation and other facilities and services. No response to any other guests comments on this site actually said they would fix the problem . All sections of the hotel are clearly understaffed on holiday times and weekends.Over 26 families waiting to give 1 person all their menu selections ! From reception to entry to casual dining -To no available staff for the dining room in an Accor Hotel of this type -To room service-..Except the amazing Accor members reception staff and desk with great service. Roaming large numbers of Turkeys are now a major problem making it impossible to walk on paths lawns room patios or anywhere outside without stepping in turkey waste, which then gets walked into the rooms. The yachts from are run down and now number only 2 operating with long waiting times . probably most frustrating was the inadequate computer system which failed to manage communication from staff about rewards ,requests and payments, about any form of guest request or complexity such as one booking two rooms and was regularly incorrect about charges that need to be checked personally from printouts early and carefully before departure.

Came for the Easter Break and tried to cancel my booking before arriving as I was concerned about some very poor reviews. Upon arrival there was a sign advising guests that housekeeping was limited due to public holidays, I was getting worried. Check in was smooth and friendly. Reception and pool area looks nice. Plenty of car parking and no additional charge for this. We booked a lagoon room and it was clean and very comfortable. The report does need some maintenance touch ups but nothing that would spoil your stay. Housekeeping ended up being great and no issues. The free activities are fantastic. The resort is lovely for walks and exploring. Great place for families with you children and teens, also extended families. We had room service for two people one night and it was $200 so this was the only negative I had, very expensive and not that great. Breakfast buffet was delicious and there was a lot of variety. I hired a bike for $5 and went for a decent ride, thoroughly enjoyed this. The gym is well equipped and under-utilised when I was there in peak season. Lots of activities for families and kids. Definitely hire a car so you can get around as it’s quiet isolated which I found to be a very positive thing. The resort felt spacious and clam not like other areas I visited during my stay. Oh next time I would definitely rent the over water bungalows, they look amazing, specially if you have teenager’s. Ps the large kangaroos with joeys in their pouch was a huge hit for all.

Maria and I were on a 12 night Luxury Escapes package. You could not beat this for value for money. The resort is fantastic. The breakfast and accommodation provided is first class. All of the amenities first class. Truely wonderful staff. Too many to know all by name. Rafael, a true gentleman, ensures everything runs smoothly. Naomi at reception who gracefully and without fanfare on request changed our room, John the pool/gym guy and Maria, who was in charge of our high tea and always greeted us with a smile at breakfast. What a darling and with a great sense of humour. We had a wonderful time and would do it all over again except next time it will be during Queenslands Spring season.
